Player Sanctioned: Lady-Irena [Rescinded]

Lady-Irena has been sanctioned for:

*5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking*

Consequences:
If you are going to jump into a fight in progress please provide some role play for the situation already at hand. Two preset messages is not quite enough. Guns have been removed to encourage better role play in the future.

After that Corsair fired on us for half hour, then he runs here to make a sanction report because he was attacked without RP ?

The rules state exactly that a player has the right to defend itself no matter who is the attacker.

This is stupid, we we're on a RAID out there.
My ship is Albrech.Ferdi, Lady-Irena was in group with us from the beginning ... cloaked around us all the time, talking with us and in local chat from the beginning, that wasn't the only 2 likes throwed into local chat as RP reason to shoot.

We were outnumbered, in an ongoing battle and our cap ship uncloacked at the right time to engage enemy ships.
There WASN'T just two lines of roleplay !

I'm pretty sure that this sanction needs to be reversed, ain't fair at all.
The one who reported this cut the movie and showed only what he wanted to show ...

So... I did a /l1, /l2 engagement notice (two times, unlike the guy who reported in the first place - he used it only once, as you can see).

Alright, so... we've started fighting, I've killed both cruisers (the 3rd ran).

In the time that this thing was taped, it was pretty much okay from everyone to /l1 their engagement notices.
As you can see, I've tried to be creative with those - it was more than just "weapons online" or "Engaging", as the rule you quoted there says.

So, can you re-consider this? It's not about the monetary value of the sanction, it's that I believe this to be unjust.
