Two men climb down from the top of the old ship. Wearing mucked-up overalls and carrying an assortment of tools, they decided to call it a day and head inside for a shower and a rest. The two men had spent the better part of the day checking the internal wiring, and had headed out onto the hull to attempt to find a fix for the gun mounts, but there seemed to be no visible solution to the problem.
"Ok, so anyway, I was thinking, right, maybe you should consider getting some outside help. There is no way we can fix this, the two of us. Lyoto's of no help. No engineering knowledge at all..."
The bald-headed, bearded fellow shook his head as he spoke, trudging up the ramp into the ship. The other man followed him up the ramp slowly.
"You're right. You know what? Let's go to Java. There's a bunch of folks hanging around there these days. Maybe one of them will know a solution."
"Java?"
An incredulous look appeared on his face.
"Are you sure?"
"Hey, I found you there, right?"
"Well, yeah..."
They headed into the ship, informed the port controller of their intent, and upon receiving permission, took off from Fort Siloso.
The trip to Java was short, yet long enough for the two fellows to change out of their overalls and get cleaned up. Around the station they found several Freelancers drifting in space, waiting for work.
