Normally Trent would do his daily scans of the local Liberty chatter with the equipment that Orillian gave him, to help him fulfill his role as the eyes and ears inside Liberty space. It was the easy life compared to the job he had in the Nomad conflicts, and the Rheinlanders, don't forget them. Trent had time to enjoy himself a little bit since his new assignment, he toured Manhattan, went to the clubs but he still kept up to speed with the Liberty intelligence. The main problem was contacting Orillians team from Liberty space, the LSF always loved tapping the communication satellites. He had to use certain 'contacts' to bypass or distract the LSF intelligence officers, I won't go into details here.

One day, Trent got information that the Osiris was under attack in Omicron 100 system, a newly charted system that The Order had plans to expand into from Minor. Trent then gathered his gear in preparations to go to Omicron 100 without thinking, until he got another communique. The Osiris was defeated. There was no word on Orillian and the crew of the Osiris. He then stood inside the hanger, didn't know what to think, except regret of why he couldn't help Orillian who he came to trust, a friend he couldn't protect.

After a few days, The Order contacted Trent and told him to pull out, the LSF were closing in. Took long enough. Trent managed to escape to the Omega systems after the help from the Hackers made the LSF think Trent went to Kusari space, sometimes the LSF just don't think. But got to give them credit, they were quick to act that time, too bad it was a decoy.

Once in the Omega systems the Corsairs helped Trent to the Omicrons, what can we say about the Corsairs... They were interesting. Their body language was dominant and in control, they liked to dominate the conversations and social encounters, not to mention in firepower, got to hand it to the Corsairs, they're no slouches. Even when the Red Hessians got nosy, they didn't stand a chance, and the Bounty Hunters, from what I was told they were, not tender enough should I say.

Finally, Trent made it back to Toledo, whereupon he was given a new task. Intelligence in and around Nomad structure strategic locations, this included the Wild. Trent asked about Orillian and the Osiris crew. Sadly, it would seem that the crew were finished after the engine core destabilization. Distraught, Trent went into space, and hunted the Nomad guardians in the Hive city, as 'leverage'. After that hunting session he went back to Toledo to get his next assignment, get new intelligence on the Wild's Nomad gate site. Apparently, the units tasked to keep tabs on the site were taken down, by who was the question, something Trent had to find out as well, he took the job like the Freelancer he used to be. He jumped into his newly equipped bomber and left for the Omegas all by his lonesome, even the Corsairs couldn't know about this.

Once Trent reached the Wild Omega space, he activated his fusion coil suppressant system, this helps keep the scanners off his back, unless they get too close off course. The cloaking systems that he Nomads have has not been working very well with The Order's ships, something to do with the occupants life expectancy or something.

Then after a few hours, Trent reached the system that the Wild were holding their greatest treasure, the Nomad gate. Trent fired up the scanners, whereupon he found the gate powered up and possibly working, on the entrance side he saw what the scanners detected as Nomad biological material, thankfully it was just a shapeless mass. Meaning the gate 'test' failed. But this was still bad, it was nearing operational status.

Soon afterwards Trent was discovered and whereupon he was forced to flee, but just before he left the system, his sensors detected an energy pulse headed for the Newcastle system in Bretonia. This system had a Nomad inactive hive city. Trent realized that if an active signal went to an inactive Hive city, there is a possibility that the city may re-activate. Upon leaving the system Trent sent a message to The Order upon the situation.

After a day at Tripoli, updating his bomber OS, The Order contacted Trent, ordering him to the Newcastle system to check on the Nomad structure and the local Bretonian research station. Trent left for Newcastle straight away.

After a few hours, Trent arrived at Newcastle, with his assistant Ken that came from Tripoli, Ken fired up the 'Seher' sensors that the Rheinland Military developed to scan for Nomad lets say artificial equipment and data. The new scanners found a strange sub-space transmission that headed to the Nomad inactive city, only the problem is, a signal emanated from the structure. The sensors couldn't classify it, but after Trent and Ken argued about what on Sirius it was, the Nomad structure activated and some sort of wave shot out from the Nomad structure.




After the 'wave' Battleship Grimsby was abandoned, Research Station Sunderland is 'ghosting' and Colonel Edison Trent and Lieutenant Ken Smith have not been heard from since. Getting communications into and out of the Newcastle system is near impossible, and the agents that went into the system didn't come back.

The Order are running search parties around the Newcastle system, but nothing worthwhile has turned up, however all data and information around the Bretonian ships and crew found are classified under The Order code Orillian 5.

This is Toledo Research Division Kappa, we have run all kinds of tests on Colonel Edison Trent from the bomber wreckage. It would seem that during the Newcastle incident a dormant Nomad infant latched onto Trent’s skeletal frame along his left triceps. This caused Trent’s immune system to begin cell necrosis, his immune system was shutting down, eventually putting him into a comatose state.

We have treated the Colonel with the best medical treatment and he seems to be making a speedy recovery, beyond our expectations. This will be noted under medical log 08954 Alpha Zulu.

It is unclear as to how the Nomad got into Flight 197’s bomber, but what is clear is the damage caused by the Nomad was fatal. It is my deepest regret that we had to amputate Trent’s left arm during the initial tests, we had to make sure no more Nomad tissue infected his body. On that topic we have detected residual elements of the Nomad infant in Trent’s body, these remnants are microscopic, and we cannot eradicate them as they are located along Trent’s lower brainstem. Any attempt to forcibly remove the remnants could kill him, and we would rather not have that happen unless he gets taken over.

During Trent’s recovery process we took the liberty of installing a MKIV bio mechanic prosthetic arm to Trent’s body, this will make sure that he is still capable of fighting against the Nomad menace. He expressed his concerns about if he would make a complete recovery, at this rate he’ll be ready to pilot in a few days. However we will have to make Trent undergo many mental tests in order to see if Trent is still… Trent. He also expressed his… many complaints about mental testing.

It has been 3 weeks since Trent’ initial mental testing, there was some anomalies, but nothing that we can’t stop him from continuing his duties. His physical condition has returned to normal and he is dying to get back into his cockpit. However we then had to break the news to him that Ken Smith his co-pilot didn’t survive the Newcastle Calamity. He didn’t take it very well, he attacked us demanding why we withheld the information. We had to restrain him, then hi just sat there for awhile, in mourn. Then we let him go to his quarters.

To confirm, Colonel Edison Trent is permitted to back onto the Active Duty Roster. However, he will be placed under code 4 surveillance.

We have never seen a human have microscopic Nomad remnants in their body and not begin to show signs of turning. We pray that our inoculations will prevent it from awakening, or better yet, just eradicate it completely after more research is done. Trent must have medical check-ups daily at 19:00 hours Isis time.

This is Reserve Colonel Edison Trent to Order High Command, as ordered I am filing in a report as ordered.

I have been performing reconnaissance duties as normal in all of the Houses of Sirius, I have seen many discrepancies within our current understanding of the workings of each House's political and military working. I will now summarize it briefly.

Liberty

The House of Liberty is now in a state of open war against Rheinland and willing to press into its territory, this is unacceptable on my part. We cannot allow the Libertonians to revive their xenophobic ways that can lead the human race into a path of open hostilities against everyone, therefore I once again request that Operation Trident be implemented with utmost haste. For details on said operation, see below.

Also, the military seems to be launching new craft into their ranks, their shipyards have been at work, very efficiently I might add. I recommend that we perform interdiction missions to harass but not destroy their supply lines, however this will be heavily debated I realize. I'll led you decide on the best course of action.

Rheinland

The Rheinland military is on full alert, and as the same as Liberty, they're more than willing to press deep into enemy territory. This is going to cause a lot of bloodshed, and increase antagonism against themselves. We must find a way to prevent this war from going into full swing.

Bretonia

It would seem that the Bretonians are in a state of being pushed back very rapidly, they are losing control of one of their core systems, namely Leeds. It seems the Kusarians have pushed into their heart. This will force the Bretonians to get very desperate and perform tactics that would be a last resort. I suggest that we increase intelligence funding in this House to keep up to date on their weapons development project "Victorian Hammer". We have sketchy information on this project, but early estimates show that it is very destructive.

Kusari

We have very limited intelligence in this House, the intelligence divisions are constantly evading capture so much that they cannot perform their duties effectively. But what we do know is that their miliitary is badly stretched. While they may have pushed into Bretonian space, they cannot hold this advance much longer according to our limited information. I implore that we increase our informants in this House.

Gallia

This new 'House' is a startling discovery, while I attempted to infiltrate the Gallian space I was found out almost instantaneously, their technology is incredible. They're very advanced for what I hear is a very isolationist government, but their motives are as of yet unknown. But this Council at Station Reunion, they're a very desperate people. They seem to share our values in alliances, peace and prosperity. I therefore request that they be included in negotiations for supplies and information, they can be very useful to our cause.

That is my summary of the Houses. I shall now explain Operation Trident in detail.

Operation Trident

This is a top secret operation that I have been planning for quite some time, it involves the most drastic and frankly, the most dangerous plan that the Order has ever attempted to pull off, save Operation Tinkertoy.

This mission's objective is as follows:

• Infiltrate Liberty core system New York
  
• Infiltrate Rheinland core system New Berlin
  
• Infiltrate Kusari core system New Tokyo
  
• Infiltrate Bretonia core system New London
  
• Capture of Liberty, Rheinland, Kusari, and Bretonian Head of State and if possible Chief of Staff.
  
• Final objective, negotiate a peace by force that will end hostilities between all Houses of Sirius.
  

As you can see, this will involve capturing the leader of each House's government and military, with this each House will destabilize, be put in a state of confusion, and we hope to put them into action to negotiate a peace of 'Status Quo'. Meaning, we go back to the way we were prior to the new wars. No gains, no losses.

However the drawback in this plan is actually capturing said people, escaping and doing this will inspire all military personnel to take action against us, lowering recruitment opportunities initially. But we do this for the benefit of humanity.

I leave this mission's handling to High Command.

I also have two personal requests to the Order High Command, I request the immediate extraction of Jun'ko Zane, and King from Liberty territory, while they may or may not want to fight, we need them here.

Trent while a loyal member of The Order over the recent years, he was becoming more and more concerned by the recent events of the war between Bretonia and Kusari. The war has claimed many lives on both sides of the fence, and was now escalating into a full on invasion of the Leeds system. Leeds was Trent's home, and where his family was, Tobias. He is the last link to Trent's past, and while he doesn't regard Tobias as family, he regards him as the father he never had. Albeit an eccentric womaniser of sorts.

He has made up his mind, he is going to resign from The Order, leave all he has known over the past decade and more.

Trent was never good with goodbyes, so he left several messages to High Command, and sped off into the distance of the stars as fast as he could without hearing any responses from High Command. But he made sure to outline all of his steps to erase all the flight data recorders on the ship, and swear to secrecy of all of The Order's missions, fleet composition and any other sensitive information. He wasn't going to betray them, he still regards The Order as a friend, but one he wants little to do with.

So what is Trent going to without the support from The Order? Even he is unsure, but he plans to lay low for the time being and get his bearings on his new two feet.

It should also be noted that Trent has never seen eye to eye with The Corsairs, and never has, and never will regard them as allies. Even in The Order, he barely co-operated with them unless given strict orders to. He just detested their way of life. That will make things hairy and tense in the Omega systems, and the Bretonian systems.

Now that Trent is heading for Bretonia, what will he do? Will he return to Leeds and fight? Will he take Kusari head on? Will he infiltrate Kusari and cause damage? Or will he move onto other things?

At this time, no logs indicate what his intentions are. Nor his current location since a lot of people, want him dead and buried. For now, he is hiding, and waiting.
