Ladies and Gentleman,
Good day. First allow me to personally thank you for your service to our great nation. I am confident that the following will be as troubling for you to learn as it was for me.
Earlier today our storage facility in the Cold Lake Nebula, Alberta was destroyed by a fleet of [LN] and LNS warships.
After conducting our own internal investigation, we have learned some things which we find, troubling to say the least...
First matter at hand. One of our suppliers, who shall remain anonymous, but has agreed to testify in a court of law, has informed us that they jumped to Alberta with a load of Basic Alloys, in bound for CLI Storage Facility 2-B at approximately 17:30 Sirian Time. As they passed by Camrose on their way to the Cold Lake Nebula, a large Liberty Navy fleet, consisting of at least six capital class warship vessels, with additional support craft, and the usual escort of snubcraft, were detected on his ships long range scanners.
He thought it quite strange, but knowing our base was in the process of awaiting base registration approval, he thought little of it. Perhaps a pirate fleet was threatening Platinum Incorporated....
He then witnessed the unthinkable. Liberty Naval forces began shooting on the installation!
200 Libertonian lives. These men and women were leaders in their fields. They had families, careers and lives to live. All of this was taken away due to a "miscommunication". We have the recordings of our employees screams as the station was torn asunder, if you'd like to hear them.
No warning. No time to evacuate. Only Death!
*the man angrily slams his fist on the desk before him*
These people were my colleagues and friends....
*the man pauses, turning away from the monitor, visibly shaken*
I apologize. The tragedy is still fresh for me.
Am I to assume that the Navy will be conducting its own investigation, and will bring the perpetrators to justice? Or is murder due to "miscommunication" ok these days?
Another matter which has me troubled....
I met a Commander Wicks in Ontario some days ago. He stopped my transport and asked me a few questions, to which I answered promptly and honestly.
I told him I owned the installation in the Cold Lake Nebula, which was to be used as a Platinum storage and transfer station. He told me the Libertonian Authorities wanted to speak with me, as my base was unregistered. I agreed to do so as soon as my business on Planet Denver was attended to.
Something struck me as odd though. As I flew away, he mentioned how strong the relationship between Platinum Incorporated and LN was. I answered that they could expect some competition. I now am curious if this last comment cost my colleagues their lives.
I find it sorely vexing now, that before we hear back on our base registration, a fleet of [LN] and LNS ships destroys our installation.
Could it be that the far more powerful Platinum Incorporated pulled some strings with commander Wicks, and this is why there is 2 Platinum Incorporated bases in Alberta which remain intact, whilst our minor level one storage facility is obliterated with no warning?
I suppose we'll never know. Those with money and power rarely face justice.
Regardless, my legal team is preparing our case as I speak. Unless these questions are answered to our satisfaction, we will have no choice but to seek further legal action.
I'm certain you would like to resolve this matter quickly and without costly litigation.
I eagerly await your reply, and hope we can come to an amicable agreement which sees justice done.
