Daughter of a Hogosha mother and GMG father, Annie suddenly reappeared, years fter mysteriously disappearing on an exploration trip in the Taus. She could provide no account of her whereabouts and refused offers of medical and psychological treatment . Rumor has it that Annie continues to spend much time visiting Kabukicho with her elderly great grandfather--often said to travel with him to meetings at planet Crete and Yaren. Annie spent a short time as a mercenary for hire upon her return but quickly established herself as a full-fledged freelancer. Annie flies a 400+ year-old Kusari explorer--a family heirloom handed down for generations and loving preserved. Annie has a strong technical and research background and is a devoted explorer of all things unknown.
She is known to spin tall tales about her past and it is often impossible to know if she believes the stories she tells or if they might be true. One story that has been proved true is the one relating to her nickname, "Artifact Annie".
When Annie returned from the long absence following her family's accident, she was not the same. Annie's body, from her thighs to her chest, has been replaced with a robotic/cybernetic chassis of unknown design with her teeth and entire skeleton having been replaced with a light metal alloy. She has never admitted knowing how this came about or who did it--though many governments have sought to discover this as the advancement of the technology is beyond the edge of any known science in Sirius. Many experts have speculated the technology used to save Annie is quite similar to Dom'Kavash technology...hence the nickname Artifact Annie. Though impossible to confirm at present, many claim Annie appears to show no sign of physical aging and has exceptional strength. Some have speculated that she is in fact, no longer human--though visual examination and station security scans seem to confirm she is still a human organic in the non mechanized portions of her frame and she seems quite personable when encountered.
