AMD Athlong 3200+ (the original cpu)
2x512 + 1x256 MB RAM (pc3200)
Fx 5200 256 Ram Nvidia
But anithing i do , mincraft is next to imposible to play...on an older system with psu problems i managed to make it work stable at 32 fps but on this one wich is far more better it dosent behave as it should.
Any tips regarding what to do?
I use the Magic launcher and Optifine also windowed and memory allocation as well priority to java but still , games more demanding that minecraft work better...
Minecraft is generally quite a hard game to run because of it being java. Java doesn't run multi-threaded for some reason and therefore you could have the best CPU in the world and it still wouldn't run that great. It all depends on clock speed where that's concerned.
1GB of RAM should be enough BUT it requires a lot to run besides other desktop applications and therefore allocating all of it will choke your system and therefore Minecraft will barely run either. Allocating any less and Minecraft struggles so...it's a lose lose really.
My only advice is use the lowest Graphics settings (fast graphics, low render distance etc) or just have a general play around with the settings and see what you can do. Don't use a texture pack either, if you are.

Was just about to come back and edit this into my post this is essential as well I believe.
Another one is to ensure that you're using the right OptiFine (corresponding to the number of cores your CPU has) but make sure you have a clean Minecraft installation prior to this. Much like Freelancer, things tend to clog up if you try and modify a folder that's already been modified a few times.
Nvidia is set at "Performance" instead of "Quality"
Clock is at highest posible that is not overcloking 3200+(real 2200 mhz ).Also the cpu fsb is at 400,2x the Ram.On idle my system uses 200mb ram and i do not think beiing that high...also tuneup utilities keeps track of unwanted app drain while i use fullscreen.
Java is 7.21 (latest).
I am thinking of swaping the Nvidia Nforce to an older driver...i heard that newer drivers do not cope with old gpu's (Is that true?)
Unistalled JRE and installed JKD same issue...also older versions of both
Used multiple version of my video driver from old to the latest only to no effect
It should work better not worse than my last pc....
One thing i found very whierd,no matter what settings i use,my fps is caped at 10 fps and also if it displays 10 fps same as chunck loading...this 2 values are identical,if chunk loading drops so will FPS and viceversa.Even on high detail with optifine HD textures works exactly then same as it would be on very low detail, thing that i find very whierd....high quality should drop the fps and low quality should make it higher but no matter what the fps is the same...exept when i change render range or opengl (default/fast/fancy) i get 70 fps for a few seconds then it dropes again (no matter what setting it only works for 2 seconds)
I even forced my gpu to run java, hoped that the issue would be the my onboard gpu somehow renders java, but it dosent at all.
I am starting to think that the issue isnt with the game or my sistem,is something more obscure.
Can someone please tell me what to do? I literaly tried every performance tips posible with NO effect!
To draw a paralel
-I play freelancer with the latest SWAG pack at highest level of detail with no lag and 60 FPS
-X3:Terran Conflict is playable at medium/low details
By default, Java uses 256mb RAM. There is a way to make this value bigger.
Go to Control Panel > Java
Click on the 3rd tab - Java
Then click View
You will see a smal table.
On the far left there should be a Platform graph, showing 1.7.
Now, lets give Minecraft more memory.
I usualy give it half of my RAM.
Go to the right - to Runtime parameters.
If you want to give it 1gb RAM, type:
-Xmx1024m
Or you can give it 512mb:
-Xmx512m
You get the idea.
This usualy works for me.
Also, on Optifine, lower/turn off all effects and render distance.
Only thing that should be max is the FPS option. (I forgot how it was called).

Just as comparison, my system is Nvidia GTX 660M (2GB), i5, 8 GB RAM, and when I run Minecraft with Magic Launcher I get unplayable fps aswell (like 1/5 less fps than normal). Don't use it. I'd suggest you to install optifine manually!
Also when I use a simple shader, my fps go down to ~30. Minecraft really needs to be re-programmed without Java. Currently it's so powerhungry that even new systems got problems running it.
Oh and when I allocate more memory to it (runs at 512 by default for me, while I have 8GB), the graphic chip doesn't get detected and it runs with the integrated intel HD. Haven't found a way to fix it yet.
I tried every posbile thing i can make to it (exept to change the base coding of oracle)
Yes i use HD pack and it dosent matter if i use it or not my FPS is the same.So to be clear
-with HD pack on and all settings at HIGH and FAR render - 10 FPS
-with HD pack off and all settings at LOW and TINY render - 10 FPS
Minecraft itself has a memory alocation option...its really foolish to use comand lines since it can do that by itself. You can even check to see if the ammount you set is corect by pressing f3 (right side of the sreen)
Narcotic by using magic launcher i made my fps stable at 10 withought it it just ranges from 2 to 10.Also i cannot find the reason behind my 70-80 FPS spikes that happend if i change openGL setings or distance render and then it gets back to 10.
It is not a setting problem not an HD pack one....something is caping and preventing my Minecraft to run even it has enaugh memory alocated (1 gb) it draws only 128 but it eats all my CPU thing i find odd since on my last pc it only used 40%
EDIT
Narcotic
What Video card you use?
If you have Nvidia just open Nvidia Controll panel (right clik on desktop) go to 3d program settings and add java.exe and javaw.exe and now you grafic procesor will kick in.
