HNP Transport Engine
The HNP (Hybrid Nuclear Pulse) engine is a revolutionary, but expensive, innovation based on the tried and true VP engine series. The engine features higher adaptability and reliability compared to the original VP designs, being compatible with both Deuterium and MOX in addition to the traditional H-fuel. Like other nuclear pulse engines, the HNP series engines requires some warm-up time before operating at peak efficiency. This engine is intended for use on transports.
