Yup, i am mean, IRP i need to make a living, let me tell you, that a lot of traders show up empty... why? It makes no sense. In either case, if you are empty, i wont demand more than 100-200k, if you can buy your shiny adv. train, you can surely pay that.
And I can't see why pirates have to have the /1 and /2 and /3 messages. Type out your damn thing.. I wanted to shoot some for constantly hearing "Hey <Traders name> cut your engines." "I said stop moving" "Engaging <Traders name>"

It isn't much to type out something in /l, yknow.
i can understand using one setmsg, just for a "HALT trader"
but when you go /1 /2 /3 it is really not cool
"CUT YOUR ENGINES"
"give me two million or im gonna space you"
"thats It"
really guys...

If you do that on most trader ships then the hull repair cost will be more than your fee.

Well that is the consequence of the insistence on "RP messages" before all combat: whereas before people would sometimes RP properly, and sometimes just say "Engaging hostile" depending on the situation (e.g. an Outcast sitting in front of Crete would get the latter from a Corsair), the crackdown means that people now just use canned 'setmsgs' for every engagement to be safe.
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
I use some setmsgs to start with, but if they aren't relevant, then I don't use them. e.g. one of them says "ooh! a cabbage full of loots", and I don't use it if their holds are empty (or at least not often), also, instead of typing /1, and letting the entire system hear it, it's possible to type /l1 instead, which says exactly the same, just into local chat.

I don't even know how to set messages.
Better keep it that way I think.
Same here. If your typing speed and accuracy is high enough there is no point to it. (Unless of course you are doing it for the cash or the kill message.)
(High enough meaning that you can type fast enough whilst dodging hostile NPC fire and other distractions.)
