' Wrote:You don't need anything to beat the elite 4, really. I mean, no strategy. All you need is a powerful sweeper team and they will all be dead in no time.
Any pokemon party with a decent type coverage and attacks should get through it easily.
Hell, you don't even need strategy or a good team, all you need is your starter and many full restores and max revives. I have managed to beat every Elite Four using only my starter, excluding the ones in Red/Blue, simply 'cause I don't have 'em.
Unless you're playing against actual people, Pokemon is way too easy.
For me, Pokemon ended with Emerald and the good old SP. I'm still grinding that game for every last Pokedex entry, no point in moving on to a whole new system yet.
The real awesome thing was that Pachirisu is much faster than most rock pokemon, so that guy with 3 Onyx/Golem is just pwnt in an instant. It honestly isn't really the best team out there, but that's what I used, and it was fun. Definitely picked the stupid monkey as my starter and that was a mistake, but I generally don't like starters anyway...
Oh, yeah, and I always keep like 30 Revives, 20 Full Heals, and 30 Full Restores. Those are always useful.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, and I didn't grind forever to get Hidden Power Ghost type on my Mothim. I just happened to find a Mothim which had Hidden Power of the ghost type. It was awesome.
