A joyful scene was taking place in the Hellfire Legion Bar on Fort Veracruz, Vespucci. A frequent visitor, Captain Jack Kaine, sat at a force-field generated stool at the extremely overcrowded bar. A view of the nebula surrounding the base drew many looks, the majority of them drunken. As the bartender observed the Captain, he marvelled at the man's self-control. While the men around him washed away their troubles with a variety of flavored drinks, this officer seemed to indulge just enough to get the slight buzz, then watch the other men, some more high ranking than himself, stumble around in a drunken stupor.
Fools. Don't they realize that you must always remain in control of you mind, and body? They will not be in such positions of power for long...
Executive Commander Mori, showing all of his rank in a curious pattern of medals, stiffly walked up.
ooc: In honor of HF's 1-year anniversary, I wish that every HF should make one post. This is a party celebrating the event. Denelo, you should post next, but really, as long as it all fits, anyone in HF can post. Hell, an SA could even post about attacking the station during the party. As long as it's not power-gaming...
I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.
RP Story (Still deciding whether or not to finish)
As the Executive Commander walked up, he looked distinctly worried.
"Captain Kaine, it's good to see you. You're the only person of any rank I could find who's in his right mind still. What a time for this, what a time... You remember that prisoner, Carlos Emiliano? You know, the one who attacked me a while back. He escaped last night. You know as well as I do that that can't be good." Denelo ended with a sigh.
As Denelo spoke with Captain Kaine, on the other side of the bar his brother was in quite a different mood, telling jokes to a large table of drunken pilots. "And he says, 'after all, you've gotta eat!'" finished Tarlkor. The table exploded in laughter at the joke, whatever it had been.
Admiral Sarah Dvorak tossed her arms up behind her head, dropping the heavy glass mug, formerly full of root beer, onto the table with a thud. Her assistant, Chris Sanchez, 22, lazily tapped various tidbits of things into his Padd as he sipped on something mildly alcoholic.
"Tcha. Look at them go. Drunken idiots everywhere." Sarah sighed, dropping her arms and flagging down a passing waiter. "Onion rings, please."
"Hey, it's Denelo." Sanchez tossedhis thumb over to the bar; there was the Exec conversing with Captain Kaine.
"What?" Sarah looked up and twisted around on the leather booth-bench. "Huh. He never comes out of his office without a reason..."
The Padd pinged. "Ahp, that's what it is." Chris rolled his eyes. "Carlos Emiliano. Remember, that Corsair pig back in D-block last week? He got out."
'Hmph. Well, right now we can't do squat. Let me work on these," the waiter set the basket full of steaming circles "and then we'll see what we can do. I take it all ships are already monitoring the jumpholes?"
"Of course."
"Good! Give me five minutes." She went back to munching.

Drake came in and claimed his usual drink, Kai was already there sipping lightly at his Tequila. Drake sat beside him, he looked out at the others in the bar seeing how they were finally getting that drink he promised. The Legion had been going now for the longest time, fifteen years almost Drake had been laying siege to Liberty. And still his demands unmet.
But it was no matter, those things slipped his mind for the first time in years. Now all he felt was proud, proud of himself, proud of his son, and proud of his loyal soldiers. He raised his glass "I do believe it's time for a toast!" Drake said, the drunken pilots went quiet. "To the Legion, and the damn fine men in it!"
