You are making one flawed assumption.
And that is that some such super weapon that no one has ever heard about exists within the freelancer universe.
Can you please tell me where such weapon exists in the FL universe please.
I'd like to know where in my post I said that any house in FL has super weapons. I was referring to real life, notice the quote I was responding to was about real life as well. These forums move fast Gaz, try to keep up.

Also, I'm fairly sure one of those "pleases" was redundant. Just saying.
Then again, the Liberty-Rheinland war is not about either of the Houses steamrolling the other, it's about securing the independent systems.
Pretty much invalidates the supposed outcome of the homeland incursions from either of the sides or the need for weapons of mass destruction unless Liberty would suddenly nuke Hamburg to make Rheinland drop out of the war, which would probably achieve the opposite results. The USA got off well with the Dresden bombing since pretty much no one cared due to the lack of a mass media or Vonnegut to carry the weight of the news around. Of course, they also tried (and succeeded) in emphasizing the other side doing much worse things, entirely masking any positive actions they may have done, while the exact opposite applies to the victors. The media of the formerly opposing Germany was also rendered under the control of the victors, which is unlikely to be the case in Rheinland if it really is about the independent systems. Today, when we have mass media, just observe how many sources condemn the USA for committing considerably smaller mistakes than they did in WW2.
Now in the FL case, the line "victors write history" hardly applies when not only can most of the world easily observe the process of war, but it does not end up with either of the sides marching into the other's capital. Rheinland may also have an oppressive government but it's not as "bad" as in the above case either, it's harder for the media to find a grab. It's also harder to make so many people believe that they really are the material evil in this war.
Yeah also, let's assume mass destruction weapons developed, k. It says it on the nuke mine infocard that nuclear weapons are outdated, right. We should also assume the defense systems developed parallel to that as well. Deploying weapons of mass destruction may not have nearly the effect they would have today, especially if we observe the size and spread of House population.
Revolutionaries, resources, fleet rebuilding; I responded to those points already.
I've got another question. If the Ring is a local miracle of Universe spoken in awe which lets Rheinland build ships as big as Rheinland battleturtles, then where the hell do Liberty assault carriers come? Do they buy them from Oder?

Well Juneau shipyard has a ton of dry-docks, so I would suspect thats were those came from.
