*this message is directed to all the Actual and Former Zoner Councilmen and Diplomats.
On the transmission you can see an young Security officer. you can feel sadness in he's
eyes and you can see how he struggles not to burst in to rage.*
Kallisti and Greetings to you brothers and sisters zoners!
I am Mykonos Ancestor, son of Mikrosh Ancestor, the overseer of Obsidian Zoetic.
I find myself in some desperate times, my father is locked in a hangar bay on our facility at Murilo.
He is going to wait until the shields will go off. He plans to go down with the station close with he's
people, the civilians on the station.
We, hire and give shelter to refugees around sirius. My father wants to build a safe haven in Zeta,
apart from wars and conflicts. Those refugees see Murilo as a beacon of Hope, they refuse to evacute
the station, that is why my father decided to sink with them.
My father*slips a tear*... My father is an honorable man, and, he is a good father. I would do anything to
save him. At the moment I've spent a fortune to hire some lawyers to settle this thing out. But I fear it is
not enough.
I am begging for your help, but I don't know what kind of help to ask for. Since my Father forbid me to
open fire upon other humans.
I... I don't know what to do... I am to young for this, and I always hated politics.
I hope you could help me with, at least some advices. I don't want to loose my father, those civilians
and... my father's, our people's work.
*he's legs started to shake badly so he decided to take a sit*
I wouldn't like an armed response.
We, zoners worked hard to get where we are, I don't want us to loose this.
But still, I need to save my father!
I still can't imagine why and how could a guild that is supposed to defend and protect the law
act so cruel against us, peaceful people. And we, we welcome them on our stations, they drink
our water, our food. They make a living by our contracts and still, they attack us?
Here are the conversation between my father and the Core. [Conversation]
This is are some archives of the core's past behaviour towards Zoners. [Archives]
The Siege of Murilo: [Siege]
May the Gods watch over our souls!
I hope that those who will die, will find peace, for I will not!
You are fortunate that I am still flagged as an independent delegate of the old Council or
I would have not received this message.
You are in a dire situation to be sure to which you have my sympathies. Us Zoners are
definitely not strangers to this sort of situation. Regardless of the reasons that this
is happening, I cannot suggest you fight. You are in a part of space that is very much near
the heart of the Core's influence and any Zoner assistance that may reach you will not be
sufficient to defend the station. If they have given you a chance at surrender, do so and then
negotiate safe evacuation of the residents of your father's station. This is the only method to
save everyone under yours and your father's care. You may fight for the station but it will not
save your people. This may be seen as a cowardly action, but it is the duty of a leader to measure
the actual gains and losses associated with a decision. You will gain war and constant conflict
by fighting back now. If you surrender you may at least have the option to start again
peacefully in a safer area.
That is all I can give you. Being on the other side of Sirius, I can only counsel.
May whatever Gods you believe in be with you.
Regards,
Xavier Triton The Trident of Eris, Shasta Orbital Skyhook, Baffin
Greetings Mykonos, the deep Omicrons care nothing of youth; they try to snuff your life out no matter your age. I've read the transcripts you've sent. Very unwise move on your father's part revealing to the Core you have contact with the Order. That doesn't matter much now though.
What matters is getting your father and your people out alive. My company does not have the assets to defend your stations from the Core. It is doubtful that any Zoner group or combined group can muster enough guns to ward off the Core. The Order couldn't do it and they are far more capable fighters than we are.
I have to echo Triton's advice. You'll find that Zoners who have learned when it is time to fight and when it is not time to fight survive longer than those who think a gun is mightier than a pen. I will offer you my pen, it is all I can offer you.
I thank you for your advices.
I will consider them.
I will have to talk with the common folk between our ranks first.
Our civilians are determined to make a stand on the station. Most of them are refugees
and former slaves they see the Core as a group of bullies. For all their life, they have
been bullied and miss treated. We offered them a shelter, a place where they feel needed,
a place... that they can name home. They have seen a dream come true, so they will not
give up on that so easily. They are used with bullies like the Core, for them is nothing that
special. If they decide to carry on, and put up a fight, we will stand and fight.
We managed to get pass the second siege. And we even managed to get some improvements
to our station so it can now hold a longer siege with even more firepower. So, our people are
optimist.
Some order officials requested to talk with us, regarding an alliance with them. So if we are
accused of working with the order we might go just work with them. Since our people tend to
have quite a good memory and we won't forget when order fought with their own allies to
defend us. We won't forget the fact that the Order lost a lot of brave men to fight off the
nomads and save mankind. If they are terrorists for those reasons and for the fact that they
decided to show up and chase of the Core from our back on the both sieges even though we
did not asked them for help, then we might affiliate with this group of so called terrorists.
As for the battle between the pen and the sword, I would like to remind you that out there,
there is an enemy that cares not about our pens. So, sometimes we need to use the sword
in order to have a place where we can use the pen.
We might just offer all our supply lines and our research teams to the order.
We will see to it that the nomad threat is no more.
We will swing our swords so you, and the entire mankind have a world where they can use
a pen.
May that our blood will not be spilled in vain.
So, my beloved councilors, my beloved brothers,
Remember our sacrifice if we will be no more.
Obsidian Zoetic! *translated it means "Darkness is Vital", the name is related to the fact that sometimes we need to see
the darkness of the night so we can remember the beauty of the day, as well as every being has it's
dark time, it's time of rest, or the end of it's cycle, only so the being can flourish back to it's former beauty* Mykonos signing out.
