A GMG Representative takes the podium, various media reps from across Sirius have been assembled to hear the following.
"These last months, the Gas Miners Guild has taken action against the Samura Corporation and its holdings in the Sigma-17 system. In response, the Kusari government has enacted a blockade of the Okinawa system, and changed its Legal Codex to reflect a more hostile stance towards the Guild.
After deliberation, the Guild Masters are hereby ordering the public release of the Fakuto Records.
The release of these records has been delayed due to restrictions of ship movements owing to the Kusari blockade, as well as the necessity of protecting agents who have given the Guild intelligence.
These records contain a true and accurate account of Samura's criminal operations in GMG sovereign space - chiefly the smuggling of illegal alien artifacts, and the provision of aid to the Corsair Empire.
As a background to these events - it must be noted that when the smuggling of Artifacts was undertaken by Kusari criminal groups, it was deemed a small-time operation, dealt with by GMG Paramilitary as the need arose.
In recent times however, we have seen the Samura Corporation supplant the Hogosha - massively increasing the scope of this smuggling operation. The Guild contends that these dangerous alien artifacts are flooding the black markets across Sirius, and may also be in use by the Samura Corporation in an effort to gain technological advantage over other Houses.
The GMG hereby states that this entire operation is an affront to Guild laws, and the good order of the Sirius economy. Samura seeks to use its privileged status in Kusari as a shield against violation of its neighbours laws, acting with impunity.
The GMG further contends that it is the goal of Samura corporation to provoke the Guild, and the Kusari Government into a state of war, the ultimate goal being that of total domination of the Sirius fuel market - covering Bretonian MOX and GMG H-Fuel/Plutonium.
We urge all House governments, and the wider community of Sirius, to pay heed to the Fakuto Records. We assert that it in the interest of all Houses to ensure the free and independent space of the Guild. For any one House to dominate the Sigmas, is a detriment to all other Houses and all free peoples."
The floor was now open for questions from the media.
