Just going to toss this here because the player who was involved seems new enough that he won't know to do it himself.

I am kind of new to Discovery (played for several weeks now and btw I am a Freelancer Veteran) but i love it since the first day.
Of course there are a lot of questions in the beginning but I made it to answer them myself. But now there was a RP incident which I was pondering about. An incident with the LSF.
Does the LSF have might about the LN and can demand and sue whatever they want? I am speaking about a single LSF Officer doing that and not the official way about RP Generals and superior officers.
Yeah it was RP and it was good RP. But consists the LSF a bunch of No Cussing folks - Mod Team ? Or is it true that they have the might to tell an LN capital ship Captain what to do and ask him a lot of questions which they don't have to know?
In Rp I was like, I am the Captain of a Battlecruiser I own you maybe an explanation but not such an interrogation. I am kinda new to RP so they had the better arguments hehe.
The outcome was that they sued me and said that they take my ship away from me. My ship has its own name so when they ask me about it again am I able to say that this ship is running by a new Captain?
I am a little confused right now and afraid about an another encounter with these guys.
I thought LN is kinda independent. I am not in the official LN Faction so there might be differences.

inRP, the thing was, you were escorting a transport in a LABC, which wouldn't be a usual sight. And when we asked the names of the pirates, you said the names of two Junkers, now obviously that would make anyone suspicious. This led us to believe you were hiding something and so I was gonna make you dock on Norfolk for a 'status check' (I think I mentioned it, I'll look into the screens). Now the black box, it technically meant you would sent us screens over using forums, sorry didn't knew that you were new.
And then later on, we were being harsh because you weren't docking. We were also harsh because we remained suspicious.
and this...
Quote:Faction Right 2. Official player factions have authority over players of the same NPC affiliation, as long as RP justification is provided. This authority applies in forums and in-game, and applies to player faction diplomacy, and strategic and tactical direction, however, exercise of that authority, on the forums and in game, is restricted to official faction members with the rank of the official faction leader and second in command(s) of the faction. The authority may be exercised through the use of in-game in-RP orders, which, if not obeyed, can result in in-game in-RP consequences (arrest, court martial, and even "lethal" force in extreme circumstances). Official player factions cannot, under any cicrumstances, require another player to follow non-canon RP if that player doesn't want to. In case of IDs with multiple official factions, this right is nullified and cannot be used by any of the factions.
We can issue orders to you, and we had an RP justification to do so. We were really suspicious, you know?
I honestly can't decide whether its sadder or more funny that the member in question believes trolling and harassing indies is one of his rights as an official faction member
