A Paladin touched down on the flight deck, and out climbed the young Lieutenant, Austin Goodmen. Pilots crowded around as they watched him walk off the deck in a rather, annoyed way. In his hand he was holding a data-disc, which contained a Transmission he recorded.
He already told the Fleet Admiral about the situation, and was either ignored or no body heard him. Austin proceeded to where the Admiral's where talking about battle plans and missions for the war. He approached the door and was halted by two Marines, who looked like they where fresh out of the Academy.
"Identification Card, Please." One guard said. Austin showed him the card and both Guard's snapped a sharp salute. Which Austin returned.
"Right, please wait while I make your announcement. Sir." the Marine said turning and reaching for the door.
"That won't be necessary, Marine. I can make my own announcement." Austin said pushing the Guard to the side. Before he opened the door, he took his pistol out from his holster and handed it to the Guard. "Hold on to this, and don't bloody lose it."
Then he reached for the door, and pushed it open. Entering the well lit room. A few of the Admirals looked up, only one was looking at the desk. "Lieutenant Austin Goodmen, Suffolks Great Fleet, Paladin Pilot. Currently deployed on the Derby as Leeds Defense. Reporting, Sir's." Austin Said holding a steady salute.
"At ease Lieutenant." It was Nelles. "What brings you here?"
"Sir, As you heard might of heard, I reported to you a transmission about Kusarian's attacking Civilian stations now, Instead of Military stations. That's a breech of Humanitarian laws. If you haven't heard. I have the transmission recording right here." He said holding up his hand that held the recording. "Requesting permission to play it."
"Granted, I would love to see what it says." Nelles replied yet again, the other Admirals looked at each other before looking at the screen. Austin Inserted the recording and played it.
"Sir's, this Kusarian ship attacked the civilian base of LD-14, while yes it does manufacture Military surplus. It is also home to many civilians, ones that want to stay out of the war. The York was nearby and could have been a much suitable target, in my honest opinion. Luckily the Curnack was on standby and recognized me as wing leader, for the time being, and we drove the Kusari gunboat back to it's hole, where that transmission was received."
"I would like to take Action against this attack against civilians. Those that wanted to stay away from the war. I am unsure of what the causalities are on the station. But I do know of Pilots that have loved ones living there." Austin paused for a brief second, letting the Admirals soak it in.
"That will be all Sir's." He said saluting again, then dropping his salute and turning smoothly he left the room. He could hear a few of the Admiral's laughing. However, this wasn't a laughing matter. If Civilian stations are getting targeted now, with the acceptation of Glasgow and Stokes Smelter, Then more lives are being put at risk by the Kusarian's, who weren't following any Humanitarian treaties.
He thought to himself on the way out, It does seem Kusari is losing their grip, and their Honor. He sighed. Knowing the moment he was back on Leeds the Press would be waiting.
