He examined the woman, taking readings with his tricorder. For now, all her vitals appeared to be normal. He then turned to his host,
"Gaia you said," he inquired, "I know much of the plant life there has made inhabitation dangerous at best. I've read files of the plant life being poisonous even if it is otherwise liveable."
Doc thought a moment, "You weren't able by chance able to get one of the plants that caused this did you? Having a host of a venom enables people to make anti-toxins. People of ancient times captured venomous snakes to milk them and produce anti-toxins."
Then with a gloved hand, he approached the Kusari woman and broke a piece of the shell off. He then turned back to his host, "Let us get to a laboratory, Sir."
