What about those lone stations that have no reference to other scales?
Stations in asteroids or clouds or Rochester-like stations that are just not near anything to make it look weird.
It wouldn't hurt other things if those were scaled up, would it?
Have you any clue how much work that would be? Textures would need to be redone, base models modified, hitboxes adjusted... Imagine the nightmare of shooting a 3 times smaller patriot. No. Not feasible. Period. Not with the ressources a modding community has.
I didn't say it's impossible. I said it's not feasible.
And no. A three times smaller ship is still three times smaller, regardless of its speed. Have you ever tried shooting at a chimaera or its clones? They're slow as bricks, compared to pretty much everything they usually fight, and they're still hard to hit. Now imagine that three times smaller.
Oh, and I'd appreciate it if you'd cut the attitude.

All those things would have to be resized by exactly the same factor. A script can do that.
The shooting part is why I said speeds must be downscaled by the same factor. Shooting a ship 3 times smaller that is going 3 times slower with guns that are 3 times slower is exactly as hard as shooting it without the shrink.
Only thing that will be different is that other objects will appear larger. And you wouldn't have to re-arrange or alter all other objects at all.
Duh.
other objects in relation to one-another would still be crappy though
What i am asking is at least it is possible to improve the immersion of some locations that are easy to do.
A base in a cloud, asteroid, etc that is separate from anything else would not harm anything if it becomes a little bigger.

That depends. A bigger model for a station means that a few more factors need to be thought about, but theoretically it is possible, yes. It'd need a player request, of course, and if you want a different model, a modeler.

You still didn't get it.
Things will also be going slower.
If the speeds are slowed down by the same factor, it wont make any difference in difficulty at all. Speed is distance/time.
I am not quite sure if you understand how that works, but if you want to write a script for it, go for it. And then go playtest. I guarantee you, after the third hyena NPC you will quit in a rage.
Ok , here is a challenge for those who CAN do modding.
On your own private server , take Penny ( simply because its the starter system ) and work your magic on it.
But....keep a log of every problem you encounter AND whether you were able to fix it or not.
Keep a log of how much TIME you spend on just the 1 system.
Then go explore the NEW Penny , and youtube your flight.
Then , and only then , should this whole idea be revisited.
Does this sound like a fair challenge , instead of the ol' canned response ?
