I'm glad the Yanks made it through the group stages. They are a team, in the truest sense of the word, surpassing their individual abilities. I'll look forward to the rematch, assuming we beat Germany, then Argentina, then ....................................... *gulps*

i watched the game when the US made it into the world cup.
and i cheered, drunkenly, but gracefully.
I have these two friends of mine.
One of them is a girl from Argentina.
the other is from here, Alaska.
they made a bet.
If U.S. makes it further into the world cup than Argentina, then she has to shave her head.
if Argentina makes it further, then he has to shave his head (this is coming from a guy who has for a long time had long, curly hair...)
I love "soccer" and love watching it. I support the U.S., but deep down inside i feel confident that they aren't going to make it very far in the world cup series.....
and my friend will undoubtedly have to shave his head while we all laugh and ridicule his existence. (because thats what friends do, right?)

Hey, Exile, for your review:
You will notice that this man is going to use his "foot" to kick the funny shaped ball so it IS football here in America. We just do more than kick it. Sometimes, we throw it down field or even tuck it under an arm and run with it.
Now, changing sports a bit and no kidding, I USED to do full contact karate tournaments....without protective gear. I don't think it made me more manly but I DO think I was fairly stupid for not wearing it. Getting KO'd twice made me realize that.
....and I've watched a rugby game before. Yes, it is fun to watch.
