Summary:
We got our admin/mod/dev friend to overpower the Hessian ID so we can tactically crash the server.
Seems legit.
Aside of all that griefing - i think it would be a good idea to set the shields effectiveness to 98% (= double the damage battleships do) while greatly increasing the bases base hp.
This way it would be possible to damage bases with fewer ships, but as balancing it would take those ships long to actually take the base down.
(Actually you would still need 8 jorms to overcome the repairrate of a lvl 2 base)

The same numer of ships but base dies twice faster, yes.
Or you will watch for ship quantity?
If they can bring 20 now, does not mean they will bring less then...

Same number of ships, but base doesn't die twice as fast, due to the increased base health.
However that would at least enable those ships to deal damage at all.

I guess this sums it up, same story with IMG/USI etc IDs - overpowered and not logical but well for admin/dev/skype/whatever friends everything is possible so the rest must deal with it,topics like this are not changing the facts together with the pathetic server that dies with 120 people on.
True, our primary goal is a political revolution inside Rheinland.
But we are obviously an empire, we're growing.
We operate mostly from Omegas and Dresden. We won't ever deny possessing any additional systems we will conquer in future, as they would probably be extra-resource suppliers for us.
Omicrons aren't so far from us, so these systems could be our potentional places of operations.

Ganking? Everyone are ganking. But i bet you would not know what this word means if someone would not explain it to you. You would call it "It was much more of them and they won", i assume. And that would be right. And yes. This gives you an opportunity to train in your legates/ossies. Not relogging to bombers after dying on those large thingies. That sucks actually.

So please tell me, what would you do if Hessians would not be there for you to shoot at?....RP 24/7? Or maybe supplying the base? Oh yes, that is rather amazing. Just try to imagine that Hessians are taken totaly out of Omegas. You have to admit that it would be a very big piece of Omegas every day life bitten off. When i was a defender, like you guys, i thanked raiding fleets and offered them to visit us again. Because it is really easy to understand that raiding keeps this server up more than crashing it.

Kids these days prefer other online games, more modernd i'd say, so we have only so called oldfgs without fresh blood coming in. That makes 70% of the community being bored by the game because they tried everything and every style of RP. Large battles never get boring though. That's why we should accept every unpleasant moment of this completely free game and enjoy it.
Eh...make a new rule.
Every player faction can have one base, which is off limits to attack. Like, first registrated base should has immunity to be attacked. And base should be in noted distance from JHs which not lead to Guard Systems.
Let's take Krupp as example: First officialy registrated RM player base. Enough far from any JH/JG. Takes this immunity ti siedge- Not allowed to siedge Krupp. Second base, for example, Panzer factory...second registrated base and has enough distance from JH, but does not has immunity to siedge.
Oh and important note! Its not like one base per offical faction.
And if you want to exclude Gamma from Hessian's ID, make something worth fighting in O 47, otherwise, player number goes down.
P.S. Less Hessians raid to Gamma, less Corsairs player's activity. ;)
Suggestion: Have base sieging only allowed when player population is below or around a certain amount. Not sure if this will actually work because I'm not familiar with whether it is the combined resources required from the sieging and what everyone else and their mother is currently doing on the server or just the large-scale sieges in one system that causes crashes. But something to consider if it's the combined server load.
Being that server crashes come from base sieging, it's not really logical at all to tell someone they're just pointlessly whining about it. If it's disrupting gameplay of people not even involved in it, something should be done about it. That much I agree with. Putting the LOL YOU QQ'ING into perspective.. Say someone torches my house, and then my neighbors house catches fire from it and he complains. I guess he's just whining pointlessly, isn't he?
