Well, no attempt was made to say in PM "//Loldon't wanna play, sorry mate"
Said Gunboat arrived at Planet New Tokyo, threatened me and flew in a straight line.
The moment a nice KNF happened to be passing through, his Chimaera decided to help out Zoey's Black Dragon, making it two fighters against a Gunboat.
Was a fair fight, and there was a Gopnik Mamoru, which we would have called off if he fought back, but the moment the KNF arrived, the ]bd[ Gunboat simply turned to the sun and thrusted towards it.
Could have easily died with honour, but no attempt to fight back was ever made, which is kind of poor conduct.
I wouldn't expect this of ]bd[ Rojus, let alone a Shogun.
That's my side of the story as I was there, if you wanted to know at all. Perhaps someone can RP as one of Hirosho's crew on the Gunboat, and explain it to the court.
I find the content of said message quite funny due to several things. The first being my good friend Joe, (Masuto Hiroshi) had three minutes prior to my character's arrival (Ninjato) initiated interaction with all the parties involved. The Blood Dragons, the AFA, the KNF and the Hogosha who had been summoned there.
Once I arrived, we continued on that, to clearly state our intentions, (these are just a few snippets as some of it got lost in the chat-log due to an abundance of departing and joining player sentences):
But just to give you the general idea, this was not just "a one-liner engagement":
I'm really frickin' sick of hearing this "you pvp-whore you can't Role-Play" line everytime you beat someone in combat. It's childish and a pathetic way to deal with a defeat, instead I expected courtesy, something along the lines of "good fighting". And as much as I'm really not after to ruin somebody's night, that is one lame way to cope with the situation. I role-played my part, I stated my intentions several times and so did Masuto Hiroshi, there were no cheap-shots being thrown from our side, it was pretty damn clear what we were about to do.
And just to say, in case anybody misunderstood, those were our hunters. They are not in the "hiding and pretending" business. They don't care if they are immediately recognized as "Nomads" because they hunt their targets and swiftly try to kill them.
Trappers on the other hand are the ones which uses no Nomad equipment and generally take a more "luring" approach.
The only thing I wondered in this battle was what camp you two were shooting, I guess it was part of your RP but you kinda disorganized both sides (should we shoot thems or not ?), after a time it became clear when you started to fire on the dragons.
So except that minor problem, I don't see anything to bitch on.

Also, had to cruise from the fight to prepare dinner.
I shall address both incidents here in an objective and personal point of view.
Firstly the situation with Verminator's Shogun. Looking at the incident from a point of a Dragon, that is not how a Dragon would ever act in role play. There is no need to fight and die with honor as a Dragon could have simply role played his way out of it, and PM'ed one of the opposing party if it's possible to postpone this IF necessary, since he had no time/will to fight them now. The opposing players, being human, would have probably understood, and said okay, next time. The Rising Sons are aimed to be one of the prime role playing factions of the server, therefore I'm hoping this can be resolved, which it surely will. But not here.
The second incident. I've got disconnected during the role play we were having with the Gopnik and the AFA player, during what time the two Iseijin came. I cannot say what you said, but seeing the screens it was enough because players often say much less in a group fight and usually go along the line "Assisting ally." Now why our member PM'ed you is because her character wasn't in the fight, and was just having fun role playing a drunk lady. She got attacked because she was at the scene, which is entirely according to the rules, yet I think it would have been better if you'd chosen a different target, that was actually in the fight. That said I can understand her being frustrated by dying because she wasn't going to fight.
Erm, me and Joe were in a Skype call and I tried my best for the sake of sportsmanship to try "kill" or "attack" one pilot of each side.
Basically if we managed to get one Blood Dragon down and saw that the other side outnumbered you, we would try to get one of them first. Just to keep the combat as balanced as possible and to bring a good time (hopefully) to the majority of the participants.
It might have looked like we were a bit "one-sided" during small parts of the battle, but it was mostly because we had to somewhere along the line pin some pilots down that were targeting us.
Personally I'm not all too fussed about the person who PM:ed me that, now that I know who it is (it didn't really come as a surprise) - I must say I still enjoyed that fight and I like the fact that I got a nice good fight message slinged to me from the Hogosha side and I talked to a few of the Blood Dragon participants and they were generally cool with the whole shoot-out.
By the way Valen, she was right in the -middle- of the whole cluster of pilots there. She was the only bomber so naturally we targeted her. If she sincerely wished to stay out of the fight a single OORP message in system/local or PM - whatever could have been sent and we would have backed off. But instead, we get this whole "you can't RP you pvp whore PM" along with a whole load of bitching on Skype. Not really an optimal way to deal with the situation if that was the case. We can't read minds you know. How would we have known if we aren't even told?
But here's the thing, the first out of many complaints wasn't about she not desiring to engage in combat, it was about me writing only "one line of Role-Play". Clearly that is not the case.
Just to clarify I am Masuto.Hiroshi. I had been there for some time attempting to interact with the various people there. The character, while technically a hunter was allowing the dragons and various other types to believe what they wanted to believe. I gradually and slowly made it more clear I was a nomad, and finally when Hideki (Ninjato) showed up , we opened fire.
As to our choice of target, I wouldn't have fired on that ship if I'd known that she didn't want to be involved in a fight. I dislike upsetting people, it's not my game. However, the bomber seemed like the most obvious target at the time, and without the knowlege that she was trying not to get involved in any fight that might or might not occur, then the choice seemed obvious.
I'll repeat that. If I had known Ashes didn't want to be involved in a fight I would not have fired on that ship.
As for who we were shooting in the engagement, we deliberately disorganised both sides and alternated who we were shooting, slowly whittling down both sides of the fight and relying in the fact they'd keep shooting one another.
We were just as hostile to the FA/Hogosha/KNF as we were to the dragons.
I attempted to further increase the doubt as to who we were shooting by accusing the ]bd[ of being nomad infected, while we were infact shooting at a KNF ship at the time...
The conversation I had on skype with Ashes has made me feel a lot less angry about what she said, and I hope has cleared up the fact that if she had let us know she didn't want to be involved I personally would not have shot at her ship (I can't speak for Hideki). However, I can't read minds...
I already said it wasn't a one line engagement notice, and that what you said and role played before hand was enough. I was simply trying to explain why there was a reaction like that in the first place. People are easily frustrated when something doesn't go as they envisioned it.
As for the battle as a whole, it was fun, and the Iseijin role play was amusing. How they killed off two fighters on opposite sides before everyone realizing what they were doing. At that point it was too late. A fun event, no doubt about it.
Due to a recent family tragedy, I shall be resigning as Faction Leader. I can no longer commit the necessary time needed for a leadership role.
Valen shall take up the mantle of the Taishogun. He is well respected by the Dragons, and does Dragon RP the justice it deserves.
Dragon space is very quiet - it is one of the most challenging, and rewarding, roles to play in Discovery. Not everyone can do it.
Shogun Sum-Gok-Li shall give up his command position, and stay on as head of Nomad research. In RP, the failure of Sum to identify the emerging Aoi Isejin should be sufficient grounds for his resignation of command.
I hope that Valen, and the rest of the Dragons, shall continue to use the Imperial Court as a driver of forum RP.
Right, it is sad to see you leave Friday, but you do what you must. Family comes first, and everyone should always remember that.
I accept the leadership of the faction that you're handing down to me, and will try my best to lead it with the same quality you have.
We're struggling at the moment, but we'll overcome this obstacle like we have every other until now. As you have said, Dragon role play is one of the most challenging, but rewarding and fulfilling at the same time. I hope more people realize that in the future.
That said, you'll always have a spot in the Rising Sons. I also hope you'll find some time for us in the future, so we can go bd-ing together once again.
