Thats ridiculous, complete transparency of the utilities should be given. Anyone with the will to cheat can simply establish their own internal server and test the mathodology.
If you want to learn, you'll learn. I'm not saying publish the ifnormation, but answer the user's request privately if need be.
From my experience, the violators usually admit or give themselves away somehow. If they refuse to acknowledge that it's utterly wrong and keep doing it, they end up crossing Korrd's desk, I figure. I've had my share of encounters with those, but also some people who were smart enough to stop doing that when I told them it's "simply bad". No need to waste time when the problem solves itself. When the server is full and I spot something like that, I take every opportunity to blast their ships. Having fun is top priority for me, taking the trash out is a very poor substitute.
I exercise my Junker right to pirate when I see someone "permgone". Demand cargo twice, then terminate. Good loot when they are loaded with classy ammo--and I help the server too:)

I suppose it would be difficult to tell the difference between one player going on a rampage with two battleships or power-trading with two advanced trains as opposed to two people role-playing in completely different areas of Sirius.

I'd like to remind you all that using multiple accounts at the same by the same player, aka "Multiboxing", is now Illegal.
Please, DON'T do it. I do hate having to ban people just because they try to get a few more bucks faster. Remember that by doing it, you are denying other people their right to play the game.
I'm a bit confused about this. Multiple people from the same IP is acceptable, but just not the same person? Because you mention money making, is it specifically related to that?
My son has come over in the past and we have played together online. Since I have FL installed on multiple computers at home - if he is flying one of my characters from a different account, at the same time I'm flying one of my characters, is that to be considered cheating?
I thought I had these issues as an Travian Admin only.
Now I see the same crap coming to Disco. Can't just people play fair?
For God's sake, it's just a game people... (to those who need to cheat because of whatever their reasons are)
Shame on those...
PS: And as an ex-admin I doubt these guys here will tell you what they see:)And I absolutely second that - the less cheaters know, the more there is to be wondered. And that gives admins advantage in fighting cheaters who are not even sure what to be careful with.

Let me underline the answer:

And yes, though not completely, I'm pretty sure admins can see the difference between different PCs under the same IP. You leave more information in the net than you think;)
