What you are ignoring here is that "non cooperative individuals" are not all anarchists who love big ships and feed on human misery, but can also be people who are playing the game according to the rules, common sense, and mutual respect between players.

In positions of power in functional "societies", those who are given power are trained and tested if they are able to handle it properly, and are allowed to be criticized if they arent.

And here I take criticism. If it is valid I would have no argument against it, and as such my behaviour would change in accordance. You are quite allowed to cast your criticism, however I am finding that your criticism is lacking both in its informed nature and in what it is actually trying to say. Thus far, your criticism has come from many different approaches, and most of them are directly contradictory to one another. You are giving criticism from a point of ignorance, as evidenced by your lack of awareness of the current climate. This means that the vast majority of what you are saying, is invalid.

Here, the only factor that they are tested in is if they "cooperate" with they people in power or not. In those kind of systems (pretty much any dictature), selfish people, idiots, and brutes without morals rise to power. Thats why democracies are generally doing better than dictatorships.

Are you suggesting that I am selfish, idiotic or a brute? That may be an interesting line of argument.

I would also suggest that here the ability to lead is only given by those who choose to follow. An inadequate leader will have fewer people choosing to follow their lead. After all, you will find that each and every one of us chooses the ship they fly, whether or not to apply to a faction, and whether or not to listen to someone. They also choose whether or not to play here...

I find the language used by certain people in certain threads utterly inappropriate. I concur that racist slurs are not acceptable behaviour.

Infact, I would suggest that having a name based around the eastern native american indians, with pictures of Arizona and people of the plains nations is something akin to cultural rape... So if there were to be any accusation of racism towards native americans, then perhaps you are pointing it in the wrong direction. Just maybe...

I came to the conclusion that the initial idea of allowing raids into the system would not be such a good idea because players who do not want to be a part of the shooting would likely be the primary target for raiders.

Also... as the fighting spirit seems restored and the fights over the last few days were really good and fun, I think the main reason why it was created is gone.

It could have pontentially been an OK idea. Had it not been INCREADIBLY poorly timed.
(Litterally minuites after ex-2te just finnished up annilateing the LN by gate camping AGAIN. I still see them camping Norfolk instead should this go though.)

The only general problem I can think of is that people like to be *insert rude word* to other people, especially over the internet. I gurantee you that the second this rule got changed, within a week you'd have some guys from some group, probably one you never thought of, parked in some factions capital, just flying around and ganking everyone they see.
Unfortunatly, although I'm sure many of the people posting on this topic would never do that, I also know for a fact there are people on the server who would. You still get Outcast Battleships siegeing Manhatten every other day, proves case in point.

These people are often those who wish to immediately fly a larger ship, and could not give a monkeys about much aside from their own judgement.

I'm elaborating what some of the people may have seen before they chose not to cooperate, based on what I saw. Nowhere did I say that everybody saw things like that, although I do know for a fact that a lot of people did, because I saw many when they saw it, and have talked about it with others.
Your assumption that those people are all refering to themselves as "I" and never as "we" is also somewhat daring, nor is it relevant to the matter. Everybody refers to themselves as "I", so your assumption that it's impossible for someone to speak for them is also somewhat daft. I guess you were tring to sound sociological. Or something.

Sorry but I do have the feeling that you didn't take the criticism of "maybe the LN should asks themselves WHY indies don't cooperate" very well. And that's exactly what I've been trying to tell you. Why. And at least 2 people here have already told you the same thing. But you keep shouting THATS NOT TRUEEE instead of accepting the information that we are giving you, calling us uninformed. Cant help but think "I"/"we" hit a nerve there somewhere.

No actually it was always the same thing, the thing I mentioned above. But you somehow seem to keep being in denial.

It's not difficult to get many people to follow you, as long as you dont care who follows you or for what reason. Please the brutes and brutes will follow you, please the idiots and idiots will follow you, please the selfish people and selfish people will follow you.
