I think it means when the server mod is activated that you can set the uniform all players on the server will see. You can change it in Singleplayer, too, but it won't affect choice on the server. I honestly don't see why it matters, though...custom character models would be nice, but honestly, they serve no importance. The Roleplay happens when you're in space, yes?

Doesn't matter anyways...Nobody sees you in your uniform at all. Just you. I think my char has an Order outfit? Not sure. You change it when you activate Dicovery. Near the starting cash. (only changes things for your server...)

i had found a program at one point where you could change your character on an online server. it was an add-on to the mod and it allowed you to pic from TONS of models (including robots). some characters even had guns in their hands. So, it wasn't just changing Trent's clothes, it was a new model. it wasn't well recieved back when i mentioned it the last time this topic came up. i'm not sure if Igiss wants that for this Mod either.

When you activate the Discovery mod, you can choose your uniform for (Open)SP. Pretty much any faction is possible. I for one have Interspace. Gives me a nice gray tuxedo in Singleplayer.
