Description
The Battleship Mars is one of two Battleships whose purpose is to lock down the entrances into Omicron Rho. The Battleship Mars and its battle-group are stationed at the Omicron Delta hole, carefully watching who enters and leaves the system. The Captain of the Mars is qualified to grant permits to vessels after they undergo review at the jump hole for whether they are allowed access to Alabama Shipyard, Durban Station or both.
The Battleship Mars was constructed as an emergency measure in the event Nomad activity in Omicron Delta would ever suddenly spike. Omicron Rho would at least serve as a safe haven for Core vessels to coordinate and prepare a counter-attack.

Description
The WV-Fortuna was originally hastily constructed to meet the demanding needs of the Core when they were initially planning to establish an outpost in the Omicron Delta. Knowing the dangers of Corsair presence in the system, the Core required a mobile anti-battleship deterrent to protect their base construction efforts. And thus, the first Core "Bullhead" Battlecruiser was born. Designed with agility in mind, the Bullhead heralded a new era of hit and run tactics whereby the Core could inflict significant damage against enemy capital ships whilst taking little damage themselves in return.
Once the construction of Dabadoru had been completed, the Fortuna retreated into the Omicron Rho system, whereby it was assigned the task of watching over the Omicron Delta hole alongside the WV-Mars and the WV-Minerva.

Description
After a small Nomad presence had managed to mysteriously creep into Omicron Rho, the Core quickly constructed the WV-Minerva to fortify the perimeter around the Omicron Delta jump hole - fearing the possibility of an alien surprise attack.
Unlike the Fortuna, the Minerva is outfitted with highly advanced radar systems and scanning technology to allow it promptly scan and identify ship signatures, cloaked or otherwise, within milliseconds of jumping through the Delta hole. Via the efforts of the Minerva, invasions from hostiles have proven to be completely futile and Omicron Rho is able to maintain a profile of being near-impenetrable by enemy forces.

Description
One of few Battlecruisers to make it out of the battle of Omicron Minor, the WV-Vulcan fled from Minor as soon as it had the chance. Upon arriving back in Core territory the original Captain of the vessel, Templar John Fate, was publicly executed for his cowardice. His crew were stripped of their ranks and forced to serve several months of hard labour on Alabama Shipyard. Once the crew had served their sentence they were reappointed to serve on the Battlecruiser, the Vulcan was then recommissioned with a new captain and appointed the task of guarding the Luneburg hole from hostile threats.
Due to its foul history, the Vulcan is one of the less-liked vessels within the Core. Currently seen as dishonourable, its new captain desperately seeks to alter its reputation. However Core High Command often takes advantage of this status, and will sometimes force pilots to work on the Vulcan as a punishment for failing their objectives, whereby they are then ridiculed by their peers.
Ship Name: Battlecruiser Vediovis Ship Class: AP-540 "Bullhead" Core Battlecruiser Date of Commission: 816 A.S Status: In Service Captain: Jameson Jones Crew Number: 170

Description
The role of the WV-Vediovis is simple. Armed with cloaking technologies, the role of this vessel is disable any unwanted visitors who enter Rho by targeting specific systems and damaging enemy powercores. In the event a vessel is able to limp out, the Vediovis will cloak, jump through the Rho hole into Luneburg and then stealthily stalk the target until it is destroyed or captured.
It is the only jump hole Capital in Rho that still has power to it's engines. However, due to the small area it operates in it is deemed as a 'static' asset rather than a 'mobile' one.

Description
The WV-Luna was commissioned by the Core to serve as an exploration vessel into the deepest sectors of uncharted Omicron space. Its crew was composed mostly of scientists, engineers and explorers. Mainly, the vessel would tractor in alien samples and materials to be analysed on the fly. Whilst not heavy on offensive equipment, the Luna was fitted with a cloaking device. The Luna would be expected to spend long periods away from home territory, spending most of its service outside of Core territories.
In 813 A.S, the Luna ventured on a highly classified expedition into the deeper Edge Worlds where it was expected to be away from home for eight months. Oddly, the vessel mysteriously returned to Capetown Station six months earlier than it was supposed to. As it approached the station, the Capetown administrator hailed the vessel and was met with a cheerful response from the Captain, saying that the Luna had sustained damage from space debris and needed to moor at Capetown for quick repairs. The station administrator acknowledged the request and the Luna proceeded to moor.
The station personnel arrived at the hangar and awaited to greet the crew of the Luna. However within minutes of mooring Core pilots rushed out of the Luna and started attacking the station personnel, carving a path of violence through the hangar. The Core quickly scrambled a response force to combat the 'traitors'. The following battle lasted several hours with both sides suffering losses until the traitors were completely eliminated.
Although the Core originally thought the crew had initiated a rebellion against them, closer inspection revealed a much different story. A post-mortem revealed that the crew had actually been decaying for a couple months prior to the raid and were dead, or at least near death, during the attack. Dissecting a single pilot revealed a Nomad incubus inside, leading the Core to the conclusion that during its voyage the crew of the Luna had been completely infested and possessed by the Nomads in a very short period of time. Seemingly, the Nomads had created a trojan horse to attack the Core by possessing their own men. Analysis of the ship logs several years later also confirmed this.
Soon after all the recovered bodies were gathered up and taken to medical labs for dissection and experimentation. The Luna itself was taken to Alabama Shipyard and quarantined. Even to this day it is still under careful investigation and inspection by the Core, ensuring that no more infected or other types of Nomad influence lurk on the vessel waiting to strike.
Black box recordings of the Luna were eventually retrieved once the vessel was deemed safe enough to board. The Black Box had been slightly tampered with and some of the recordings were either damaged or destroyed completely. What could be salvaged has been archived:
Captain of the Luna Wrote:Captains Log #1. We decided to head into the Pohnpei Asteroid to gather some alien organism samples. The scientists want to see how they react in different environments, both on board the vessel - within secure rooms of course - and in space. Once we've gathered a load from here, we'll head into the deeper Omicrons via a jump hole a patrol discovered the other day, and jettison them into space. We'll have to be extremely discreet though, due to the high Nomad presence. Fortunately, our cloaking device should keep us concealed.
Captain of the Luna Wrote:Captains Log #2. As we approach the jump hole we can see two alien structures besides the jump hole. They don't look friendly but rather heavily armed. The crew is somewhat nervous. I remind them that we are no mere pilots, but are soldiers of the Core. That we have no fear, that we are bastions of courage. That our enemies will tremble before our might. The morale boost seems to have worked, and the crew is now more than adamant about jumping in. Here goes...
Captain of the Luna Wrote:Captains Log #5. Jesus christ, we're lucky to be alive. That was really close. I don't think our fighter squadrons are going to make it back alive. Victis honor, pilots. We're taking refuge behind this gas giant for now. Some of the crew are saying they've been having visions and hallucinations. After that encounter... I'm not surprised.

They all did it in perfect timing with each other as if they were being controlled like puppets. I keep having nightmares about it. Horrible, vivid nightmares. Huh? Templar Irwin, did you just say something to me? I heard you call out my name, did you not?
Captain of the Luna Wrote:Captains Log #12. We've stumbled upon something we can't quite wrap our heads around. The scientists that are still alive believe it could be an alien jump gate. I don't dare to take the vessel in, this bloody system is already killing us slowly and I don't need to speed it up. People won't stop arguing, getting into fights and being angry. We're all upset over this bloody expedition and the people who keep killing themselves every few damn days. People are piling up and I've got to stop this before we all lose our sanity.
Captain of the Luna Wrote:Captains Log #13. We've stumbled upon what appears to be an icy world? We sent a couple of planetary probes to investigate and pick up samples, but within moments of sending the data back we lost contact. We got back some data, but it certainly wasn't comforting. I've been trying to calm the crew, but nothing is working. They're all afraid and dare I say so am I.

Omicron Rho is the Core home system where the majority of their forces are stationed. The system is kept under intense security and visitors are closely monitored whilst they are there - even if they are trusted allies. Core influence encompasses the entire system, and attacks from their enemies are infrequent and typically end with the decimation of the aggressor unless they retreat. After seeing Omicron Minor falling to the wrath of the Nomads, the Core are strict in cutting no corners in defence of their home system lest they want the same fate the Order had.
The Core also conducts highly secretive military research and experiments within Omicron Rho, both ethical and unethical. At times such as this, access to the system may be barred entirely depending on the scale of the operation conducted.
//Fun fact: the shield logo was inspired by the line up of the suns and planets from .87 Omicron Rho.
Station Name: Dagger Outpost Station Class: Namibia Date of Commission: 810 A.S Location: Omega-55 Status: Operational Population: 150
Armaments:
• CLASSIFIED
Description
Dagger Outpost was initially constructed in modular pieces by Kruger at Stuttgart, from where it was shipped to the distant Omega-55 system. This was done to minimize the time that they were vulnerable to attack during its assembly on site, as Omega-55 became very dangerous once Rheinland abandoned it in 820 AS. The added pricetag for this method was deemed worthwhile by the Core, who have a vested interest in Planet Skagen which the facility orbits.
As the Core's most distant outpost, it only has a small active garrison, though other Core vessels are passively serviced on an as needed basis. Patrols from this base are primarily defensive, but some raids against the Coalition and Wild are occasionally launched as the Core tries to build up its presence in the Omegas.
It was only a matter of time before the Wild took note of the Core's presence in the system, and in 825 AS the base came under heavy attack. The last transmission out of Dagger before the destruction of its communications array was of the Order Battleship Canaan on fast approach. While the Canaan was responding to Dagger's distress call and moved in to assist against the alien forces, Core officials back in the Omicrons had every reason to believe that the Canaan and her crew were responsible for the attack.
While Dagger managed to rout the assault, the base is heavily damaged and cut off from repairs and supplies. It could be some time before her communications array is operational again, and for now the base is vulnerable to the many dangers of the Omega-55 system.
Rumours float around of The Core using this installation to be a venture into the Artifact market. These are quickly dismissed.
Dagger is actually pre-dated by an earlier Core outpost within the Omegas, reaching back to 815 A.S. However, this was eventually successfully sieged by the Red Hessians, and The Core relocated to Dagger.
