Command has received reports from KNF command that something big is happening in the New Tokyo system. Information is still sketchy, but regular patrols have reported ever frequent sightings of spatial anomalies appearing and vanishing. The anomalies signature emissions closely resemble interspatial passages, or jumpholes in common jargon. KNF Admiralty has requested our participation in the efforts of detecting and scouting these anomalies.

Karasu.no.Kage here. A regular patrol on the southern border has revealed an unusual development.
During the routine patrol of Kepler and Galileo lanes, a new installation was found in the Raiden Bend. Called "Raiden Station", the installation showed no affiliation, no docking authorizations, and it was placed right in the gap of Raiden Bend. Unsure of what purposes the station and its constructors may harbor, it is apparent that its position will endanger the status of Galileo as a transit system between the Houses of Liberty and Kusari.
The Raiden Bend is on the northern sector of Galileo, so the responsibility falls upon the Kusari Naval Forces. They have been briefed about the situation, and it is expected that they will find a solution within hours.
It is known that unsavory groups and outlaws have settled themselves in the clouds of Kepler and Galileo, but if we start entrenching the main passages to Liberty, or allow anyone to settle there other than Ames Research station, it might flare up Liberty pretensions to do the same. We need that distance with them.
A grave situation is developing in our troublesome neighbour to the south. A few days ago, news media have reported visible tensions between the military and intelligence branches of the Liberty forces, although details are sketchy and the sources are fewer than the necessary to give this some attention.
However, a recent communication by high ranking personnel of the LSF aimed at the population of Liberty has reached the airwaves there, and is generating much distrust and confusion. Our records confirm the identity of this Director Adenauer-san, and the format and signatures point out to this being a legit transmission by Liberty Security Force.
The information contained within the LSF message should not be taken at face value. Previous encounters with the LSF indicated that the Agency as a propensity to act on his own, and sometimes without oversight from any other entity in Liberty ruling sectors. That they are trying to cover one of their slip ups as an unprovoked clash with Liberty Navy forces is likely.
I'm putting forward a recommendation to the KNF to tighten security in the Shikoku system, and even to increase patrols in the independent systems to sniff out any evidence of Libertonian activity or deserters spilling out to our side. Meanwhile, my recommendation to KNI operations is to send some agents to Liberty to investigate both parties and the mentioned vessels in the messages and news, so as to provide an accurate view of the damages to the Liberty defences, and who has the upper hand in government rule.
Nomad involvement is implied, and the likeability is moderate. Agents on the field are to take appropriate measures to avoid capture, either by man or alien.
The situation is Liberty is of high concern to the Naval Intelligence, but we must also not neglect our duties at home. KNI agents are to assist KNF in reinforcing vigilance in the Liberty border, as well as providing eyes and ears on all domestic struggles here in Kusari.
After due consideration of what available personnel we have, I have assigned agent Karasu.no.Kage to conduct a special recon assignment to Liberty. He is to depart from Ames research station as soon as documentation and preparations for his covert ops are ready.
Should any other agent decide to join these efforts, it should report to command as soon as possible, before other assignments are made.

In the last three days I and a team of analysts have settled in Liberty, at a discreet place in one of New York settlements. Space flight patrols and security is high, due to the increased tensions following the series of public messages from the "opposing" fields.
At first, I found it difficult to track any movements of the Liberty Navy or LSF. Combat groups are found stationed here and there, but most of them were returning from assignment, and couldn't gather much information about them before they entered the docks in the shipyards and so on. LSF is keeping itself out of New York and other crowded regions, which leads me to believe that for now, the Liberty Navy has the upper hand in urban areas and governmental institutions.
Second, I dared to expand my search a bit further, and travelled to the more remote systems of Minnesota and New Hampshire, after gathering info in Houston bars. Most of it was empty of activity other than shuttles coming in and out of Duluth Shipyard and other civilian installations, but luck struck me at last.
Out in the far reaches of New Hampshire, I encountered a Liberty cruiser, the LNS-Chicago, which was decidedly guarding a passage against any sort of intruders. The jumphole readings pointed to the destination call sign Alaska, which we have few evidences of being related to the high security area in New York system.
I avoided confrontation with the vessel, which with a little questioning identified itself as part of the wanted Battlegroup Harmony, and working under the LSF. [ H|-LNS-Chicago ]
I avoided the area after that, and the vessel also moved elsewhere in New Hampshire, but I was unable to track it.
More recently, my support team came up with some rootkit software to be used on Liberty Navy assets, so as to provide us a door to track and possibly access more information about the case. The software was carefully disguised as a cracked copy of Ageira Spreadsheet Editor 909.01, and provided some scanner markings that would surely attract the attention of Navy or LSF pilots.
I have spotted some common and some odd things during this sortie, with LN patrols returning to Manhattan, and a certain BDM agent apparently stuck on Battleship Missouri hangars.
With the package in the hold, I went back to New York to make some rounds of gathering intel and some attention. For a moment, an Ageira pilot became concerned about my cargo, and I feared I would have to dispose of the rootkit prematurely. I managed to avoid such dilemma with a quick escape, and a few moments later, I was "found" by a [LN] officer. This [LN]-Ryan.Dagnino took the counterfeit software, and was apparently pleased enough with his job to issue any fines or related penalties.
An officer of the 5th| fleet also appeared, and they started a conversation, as I left the area after the reprimand. A few hours later, and before my return to Ames Research Station for this report, our team has confirmed the activation of the package locator. They say it has been opened in West Point Academy, and are trying to locate any open links that the kit may have created.
This concludes my current report. It appears to me that LSF has found itself in the underdog position in this power struggle, even if several formations of the Liberty Navy have defected to their side. I have yet to find evidence that the LH are actively aiding the LSF, or that civilians are committing acts of sabotage on behalf of the LSF.
The situation is Liberty is considered to have reached a stalemate, and largely contained within a military ward on this zone 21. Further on site investigation has been deemed costly and unnecessarily risky for our assets, so we are ending our efforts.

Patrols are being conducted in the outlying regions of Kusari, part of our duties to warn and prevent enemy and foreign incursions into homeland space. My most recent patrol had me command the Genshou into the Tohoku system, to gather new data on Blood Dragon movements and Alien presence.
Space is ever changing, and we have seen that in the current status of the Kurosawa Dust cloud. It's dispersion has increased, and the cloud has expanded over several sectors of the system. We assume that the stable density of the field is caused by the flow of rocks and matter from the previously known anomaly into the Omicron 92 system. We have located the anomaly position in the northern end of the cloud, and have updated our charts accordingly. After a short travel to Omicron 92, we have concluded that the disturbances that prevent us from drawing an astronomical map of the system remain, so we returned to Tohoku.
We concluded our survey through the Kurosawa, hoping to find traces of Dragon patrols or supply convoys, or better yet, nothing. We have tracked a few engine signatures that were going cold, possibly passed by hours before our arrival. The signature however, were increasing in number, and the greatest part of them were converging on an uncharted portion of the field, where we found another spatial anomaly.
This anomaly does not match with any recorded interspatial links we knew in Tohoku, but it's general outbound signature indicated the Omicrons. After recording the approximate coordinates of the anomaly, the Genshou was ordered to enter the passage.
We arrived undisturbed to the other side, with no signs of hostile patrols or interceptor teams. Several planets were picked up far away, as well a set of buoys. There were also two unknown signatures nearby, and we moved toward them to investigate, due to their closeness to the anomaly.
What we found were two KNF fighters(2), completely disabled and worn out by time. We couldn't determine if they were part of the 573rd Squadron stationed in Tohoku, or from an older unit. They had extensive combat damage, but the analysis at Matsue shall provide more information about the units.
Back to the buoys, sensors indicated a large radio signal towards the end of the path, which could be an unknown installation. Considering that the discovery of the anomaly was important on its own, we ended our exploration of this new system and returned to Tohoku. From there, we departed to Matsue, so the Genshou could be decontaminated and retuned, and the data verified.
This recently detected link to a possibly settled system might be final pieces of the puzzle that eluded us for quite a few years. The questions of how the Blood Dragons were managing to not only survive, but expand their military power could be linked to a new, easier to travel backdoor to less than law abiding entities outside Kusari. Efforts should be done to investigate this matter fully.
A recent emergency broadcast alerted civilian and military authorities of an unusual phenomenon in the Sigma region. Reports indicated an until then unkown jump anomaly in the Sigma-19, that had opened recently. Survey by civilian entities, and most likely GMG agents, revealed a link to the Liberty House system of Colorado. Such path, even if temporary, had the probability of generating instability in our borders and security, so I headed out to investigate.
I travelled to the sigma system in question, meeting a few freelancers and making my way to the Luxury liner Hawaii. Soon I was contacted by Guildmaster Namura of the GMG. We moved to Aomori to discuss the situation.
The Guildmaster was cordial enough to confirm the reports, and provide information regarding the measures the GMG had taken to increase security in the Guild administered space. I expressed the interest of the Republic and the KNI in reinforcing GMG efforts in Aomori and the Kusari borders, so as to ensure the security of Kusari alongside the GMG forces. The Guildmaster had shown some reservation regarding KNF or KNI presence near GMG bases, but allowed the intervention of Naval Forces patrols under gunboat class near the connections between Kusari and the sigmas, for the duration of the phenomenon.
We parted ways then, with the Guildmaster returning to attend some matters of importance, while I arrived at Akita border station to handle another assignment. The conversation with the GMG is in annex.

It's been a month or two since I've been integrated into the Naval Forces operation Uebu no Kaimei. Mission objectives include reestablishing contacts with Core since the changes in organization and leadership, investigate the outcome and whereabouts of the forces of Operation Kumo no Ami, and investigate reports of a multinational ship graveyards found in the deep Omicrons.
We have made a few developments here and there, namely contacting the CORE command, currently under orders of a Jack Daniels.
Other than that, the Zanza from where we have been operating has received repairs after the skirmish with the Order, and has resumed flight operations. Due to the alarming headlines we have been picking up around here about another incident between Zoners and Core, we have requested captain Arima Sojirou to move us to Freeport 11 and surrounding areas for investigation.
Freeport was light on traffic at the moment we passed there, but there were standing zoner guard vessels, as well as elements of the Auxesia organization, as well ships from IRG, which if I recall correctly is an independent research organization. Core vessels were spotted patrolling the outer edges of the Freeport perimeter. A curious fact was the presence of a Liberty made vessel within the Auxesia ranks, and a Rheinland cruiser held by the CORE. Who knows if other houses are using local organizations as proxies for their interests.

Recent disturbances in the borders of Kusari were felt that required the deployment of KNF and KNI assets, among them the Genshou as a heavy patrol and recon asset.
First was a series of encounters with some sort of foreign organization fielding advanced automated strike vessels. Their power was unlike any sort of scout or automated drones we had ever encountered before, with the exception of some of the worst cases of nomad incursions within Kusari.
We engaged along with KNF several minor parties, from which we recovered small samples of an artificial compost, and some encrypted data that was sent to Yokosuka for safekeeping and testing.
On the same day, we traced the local source of the incursion to the Kepler system. A... "mothership" with a large escort was wandering a long way in the Ames parallel, which drawn the attention of the Libertonians as well. Our forces engaged boldly, but were forced to retreat in face of the destructive arsenal of the mothership and its slave units. *1* Although seemingly the design of civilian origin, the combat potential of the units was above and beyond even our best military specifications on equivalent units.
A more recent event occurred in the Kepler system as well. During military patrols in the border worlds, our taskforce received information of a large Liberty battelgroup chasing what they claimed to be nomad invaders, repelled from the Colorado system.
An unstable jumphole anomaly was found in the Libertonian sectors, which struck a familiar pattern to the anomalies found during operation Kumo no Ami. The taskforce led by Admiral Sakamoto joined efforts in exploring and pursuing the nomad forces, which led us to an unknown system, once again. Navigation without charts or clear room inside a dense field of asteroids was hard for our heavier units, but we managed to make some headway, and after disposing of several nomad stragglers of various classes, the combined group found an abandoned mining facility, of human but unknown origin. Testing revealed that the facility was a dig site for the strange compost found in the other encounter, which may be linked to the high powered ships we have found. Samples were collected and the group made way to an anomaly heading out of the system.
Our return point had changed, and we found ourselves in the Inverness system. The Genshou had little to no data on the system, although Admiral Sakamoto had some past experience of the area. Near us was the Liberty LNS-Ohio, with which the Kusarian forces struck a deal of cooperation for the return to known space. We were led to the Cortez system, near Liberty borders. During our travel, we found the Auxesia organization agents, monitoring our passage, likely searching for something.
Upon our arrival at Curacao, the captain of the Ohio managed to get us passage through Liberty edge systems to Kusari, on the condition we avoided the New York System. We were guided to a route passing California to Colorado through the Ontario system. The information is quite useful.
On the Colorado system, we were expected by a member of the ERSD section of the LN, which was receptive to our situation. The taskforce was attacked by the remnants of a incursion of these foreign cultists, but coordination gave us the upper hand on this engagement.
We returned to Kusari after bidding our farewell to the Libertonians at Ames, and we arrived on Yokosuka with the potential treasures we claimed on this operation.
