Admiral Hall,

I greatly thank you. We will contract suppliers to deliver supplies for repairs as soon as possible to leave and to initiate the recon. The objective of this recon is to find out:

The environment, possible links of where they can arrive and resupply, points of interest, and to see how we can deal with such a problem in an efficient manner, perhaps even letting the Mollys deal with them.

It really came to me as a surprise that they managed to slumber war ships to Poole, let alone be interested in taking it. The recon should ideally last a week, but I can force our people into work and shorten it down to two days. After this, we will return to Inverness to focus on our home.

The decoy is an expensive trick that involves creating an artificially generated catalyst and ejecting things out of the cargo bay to create such a distraction. For the sake of efficiency and for drastic measures, we used some of our Azurite Gas to create the decoy, where-as it acted as a natural jammer due to it's properties, to initiate such a jamming process - well - that's our little secret.

I wish I could share it with you, but it's simply unsafe. Maybe later in the future when we establish our colony, then perhaps we'll see.

Esteemed Ms Raven,

Tell me when you are ready to start the recon, and I will give you a week. Meanwhile, I could send you some of my physicians to take a look at those wounds if it would mean anything to you.

I appreciate your help, but as we've entered far orbit - outside of Civilian view for the sake of not causing panic - we should be able to shuttle down for assistance, as we have quite a few injured. I do not intend to be a burden though, we do not desperately require your assistance, but I can surely repay you for helping.

Admiral Hall,

*They bow politely in respect, albeit only slightly to avoid further injuries*

I'd like to inform you that the repairs should be roughly finished on Friday, the 7th of this month. Once complete, we should be able to set off in the afternoon to initiate the recon.

On another note, our radars saw something weird near Cambridge, bearing the name of OSI-O50A.

Esteemed Ms Raven,

I saw your ship in Poole yesterday. I suppose that you are ready to start the reconnaissance?

Yes, Admiral. We're compiling the first results of the first run, and then we'll initiate the next operation. We're currently idling in the Poole Sector, awaiting for the perfect moment before we intend to start the system scouting for any strategic points.

Esteemed Ms Raven,

The Eidolon Wraith has not received permission to enter Poole or Dublin yet, as I was intending to grant you such when you inform me that the ship is repaired, which you did not. I see that this is not more than a misunderstanding, so I will turn my blind eye and hope that you were not seen by any BPA officer.

You have permission to enter Cambridge, Poole, New London and Dublin for seven days after now. I will inform the law enforcement at once. Safe scouting.

Oh. My dearest apologies, I must have taken a hit to the head and hindered my communicative abilities more than I realised. I am so sorry for misunderstanding.

To keep you up to date; our next intended survey will begin at roughly 20:00-21:00 SMT tonight.

Apologies for the delay, here is the relevant data.

[+]Report

In order to learn more about the presence of the Corsairs, we initiated a survey of the system to find the values of the sector in order to determine their

A staging point of supply and attack strength would have to be placed within a point of; access, convienence, and ease of supply income. To start; we explored this nebulaed located in the system, a beautiful shade of burgundy that it is.

Despite the beauty of such nature, the place is optimal for hiding, but to our surprise, there was nothing. Or, at least, what we thought was nothing...

A Corsair wreckage. Investigations into the crime scene would indicate that there were neutron-based weapons used upon them, indicating that they've more than likely ran into the Mollys. Though, there is a notable lack of Corsair patrols within the area. We continued on and found this wreckage. A piece of vital information. Linking up the wreckage and the Corsair fighter due to the close distances, it's easy to estimate that the Corsairs have attempted to settle within the cloud, but were removed by something. Most likely the Mollys. Evidentally, there is something here that doesn't want to be found.

Moving on, we discovered that there were nearby resources of interest, Flourine. This is the Torfaen Asteroid Field, which appears to be within the proximity of Battleship Fes, which is bordering the Omega-49 entry point, and an unknown station by the name of Kirea Orbital Station, nearing Planet Cork, which appears to be under control of the Mollys based on the nearby patrols. We do not have an in-depth scan, but due to the proximity to Dublin, it's highly likely that it's fortified. Aside from the neighbouring areas, the system does not appear to have much more strategic value beyond gaining ground for the Corsairs and possibly flourine for income, as the mining outposts are in proximity of the outposts.

Here is the system charter:

We've personally observed the Corsairs using Omega-49 as a highway for their vessels, and noted that one of their fighters had arrived to Battleship Fes from an anomaly that lead to Cambridge - landmarked by Broadstone. We're also aware of a Corsair installation located within the Omega-49 System, but we suspect that it is used to simply refuel the Corsair movement.

Fighter headed to Fes from Cambridge as marked by the waypoint
CNS-Affordatore sneaking through Poole

In addition to the fighter's arrival from Omega-49, EM emissions were picked up, indicating a larger vessel was smuggling itself through the sector.

We continued the search for clues, beginning to figure out ways of entering Bretonia and how they manage to sneak through, we first checked the Dublin Jumphole, which would lead directly in the Mollys territory, and be within proximity of the Omega-49 Jumphole. Though, it is unlikely that they use these anomalies for their fleets, as the Mollys would inevitably attack them.

But, to eliminate down the possibilities, we searched the New London Jumphole, where it would bring us into a field, covered in gas pockets, optimal for hiding as it hinders the scanners, allowing vessels to smuggle themselves through the asteroids to reach another anomaly point, or to even rest on a Junker base.

If one were to take the Cambridge anomaly point instead, it would instead lead them directly to a Gaian station within the Grasmere Cloud.

Using this geographical data, we can easily see a 'highway' for Corsair activity between the Gaian Outpost, to which the Gaians are known to be allies of the Corsairs, and the Omega-9 Jumphole, effectively a safe passage to the Poole system.

In conclusion; the true reasoning behind the Corsair influence is merely speculation based upon the natural resources and the areas of activity - that they are merely interested in gaining more territory, they achieve this by abusing the Zoners NFZ in Omega-49 to allow their fleets move in, or simply use a longer route, Omega-9 to bypass the Coalition patrols within the Barrier Nebula. Although Coalition, Hessian, and Gaian involvement in this scenario remains unknown beyond speculation - despite Corsairs previous attempt at creating an installation for a stronger footholding, only to be resisted by the Mollys. An assumption can be easily made for the Gaians that they're going to provide cover, a homepoint - or perhaps may even attempt to strike using a Corsair attack as a distraction.

Despite this, it may be possible to disrupt the Corsairs line of flow, perhaps even considering making use of the local unlawfuls.

Our people require us back home, I apologise that we cannot put more time into this, but we must return to Inverness for now.
