Okay, today i received our new hardware via FedEx. Granted there was a minor snafu when the sender put my *OLD* address in the system instead of my new, current one, so I had to go pick it up myself instead of having it delivered. oh well. Anyway..
Motherboard
ECS EliteGroup P4M800PRO-M2 Motherboard
Supports up to 2GB DDR2/DDR SDRAM memory
Onboard Audio
Onboard Video
SATA controller
EIDE Controller
Onboard LAN (10/100/1000)
This means we'll now have the processor power to handle the mod's ever-increasing stuff. now, this is the last upgrade for a long time. It may be awhile before we can get extra parts, but I want to thank all those who contributed to help us get this hardware. You will be credited in the next version of Discovery, as well as on the server's website.
These upgrades will be taking place over Thanksgiving, so the server will be going down sometime tomorrow evening (Wednesday) and I hope to have it back up within 24 hours of the time I bring it down. It all depends on how well the migration goes.
Thank you all for making Discovery worth it.

Uh oh..
We have a problem here.. The motherboard does not supports the Core 2 Duo processors. It is based on the old P4M800 Pro Chipset, which does not supports the C2D architecture.
Remember, that the Socket T has 3 variants:
-First one for the P4 Processor
-Second one for the P4 and PD processors.
-And the last one for The P4, PD and C2D processors.
So it's better to change the motherboard. Under no circumstance change the processor. The Pentium 4/D sucks badly.
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )

It supports it, Korrd, as per the instructions. it even has it written all over the board interface, motherboard manual, everything.

Are you sure Freelancer Server can take advantage of Dual Core processor? Wouldn't it be better to use a single core processor with higher frequency instead?
Well unless there are other things running on that PC -> then it would make perfect sence.
Any ideas? But maybe it's too late to discuss that... :)
If I remember correctly, one of the points made was that it wasn't the server itself as much, more of the actual bandwidth of the connection. Is this also being addressed? (I'm going to beat my father if he dosn't pay me allowance. Once he does, then I can donate some cash and whatnot)
This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren

Bandwith only becomes an issue if we have a large number of things going through my business lease line. Freelancer generally doesn't even take half of my pipe, so that's a pretty minimal problem.
Those who complained about the bandwith were those who were getting truncated setups, such as overly restrictive ISP's.
However, lets take this a piece at a time, as i do *NOT* have very much money to start donating to bandwith costs right now (I'm already paying $100 a month for my business line.. I cannot afford much more.)
