New office premises now in operation ... All standing operational procedures, and any changes to status
will be posted here. Please add any inter office memos and all paperwork to this board ... My in-tray will
as usual be avoided as long as possible.
That is all.
Worrying times ahead... Was in Theta the other day, and happened to be listening in on comms chat. I was not impressed. Now it's official.... looks like those new Black Fleet types are negotiating with AW for a stake in Theta.
They reckon they just want a home. Straddling the most lucrative trade route in Sirius? Yeah right, there's a ton of backwaters where they can be free to bash their ridged heads against the nearest asteroid... It's obvious they're just after taxation and plenty of it.
I can't imagine AW rolling over on someone muscling in on their territories. And they've always been pretty lenient with traders passing through. But if Black Fleet don't get what they want they're prepared to go to war in Theta.... either way us traders are royally screwed.
Looks like we may be looking for some new trade routes. I have a few up my sleeve... not as good pay as the Cam/Theta/Kurile run, but beats copping splash from a nova.
The TBF situation is indeed troubling. I suggest we cease all commercial operations that move through Theta. A sort of economic sanctions if you will. I find it hard to believe that AW is actually considering allowing the TBF to do this, yet I'm certain that they would not allow us move in the big guns to fight them off. Let's be honest, the only reason the TBF is doing this is to harass traders. I say we let AW know just how much we appreciate them rolling over like dogs by petting them with the unseen hand of economics.

I don't understand how the AW forgot that we are stationed in the vicinity of Corfu.
I'll be waiting further orders, sirs. Until they arrive, I will continue as usual. Situation seems to be nominal for the time being.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
Seems you guys are on the ball there ... Watching the situation with interest. No comms have been received
from the AW regarding this sitation. As lawful traders we ought to be made aware of any moves to restrict
our business further.
Bit disappointed with the AW's stance on this so far, letting these TBF roll in and call the shots there ...
Nathan, keep the Forestal on a high readiness alert, and I will be contacting Pat about deployment of all the
Epsilons to surrounding systems to back you up in the eventuality of an escalation of this.
If in doubt guys, trade routes elsewhere are always available ... Not so much profit, but better to be rich than
dead ...
Lets be careful out there.

Message: There should be no need to worry Theta should still be AW by the time this is over. TBF may have a few officies on Corfu but they will still have to abide by our neutrality laws. If there is trouble well in system then you can find the Leviathan at the usual sopt apon our return to Sirius

I know where it is Cortana, I just have to find it. - Commodore Puddles
It would seem the AW have bent over to be shafted by the TBF, allowing them to run their pirating operations
from Corfu base now ... May as well say they are doing it themselves. Our friendly status would appear to be
a little rocky now.
And another thing, comms received earlier would indicate them to be aiding the Helghast pirate group in Liberty
space, with another thinly disguised excuse about bailing out another bunch of lowlifes based there. Seems
they just want to be starting wars whatever ... Been out in the boondocks for a bit too long, space madness
creeping in.
Perhaps hiding behind a neutral alignment should be updated, as their intent seems to be that of making trouble.
Watch your backs everyone, seems the daggers are out. Not safe at home now ...

My blackbird awaits your orders. i totally agree that the situation is unacceptable as it now stands in Theta. Reports of an unprovoked attack on our mate Yahvo over near Atka some time ago seem to have been a harbinger of what we can expect from the "Bleak" Fleet. Is AW Commmand totally oblivious to these actions?
Meanwhile, help me with a bit of headscratching here. Alternate routes are advisable until the situation clarifies itself. 1st Flax and those Ferdie Poo lads have acquired an option on what appears to be a nice "short cut" for trading purposes. However, my limited knowledge of Kusari markets has not lent itself to taking advantage of this somewhat safer passage. The northern terminus would seem logically to be Kyushu, or perhaps New Tokyo. But, I've not yet determined the best terminus, and product for the return trip. Freeport 4 or even Mactan have been suggested, but that would put us in proximity to the current hostilities between HF and the SA. With your expertise, gentlemen, we may be able to utilize this short cut for routes which would allow us to thumb our collective schnozzes at both the AW and TBF. Comments, please?
A complete withdrawal from Theta is underway. If things worsen, I would suggest a complete boycott of all Zoner goods. Though by the recent actions of the AW I suspect the Zoners may be on their way to divorcing themselves of the troublesome warmongers. Rent paid or not, I believe that the AW's current ranks are insufficient to hold on to their property. It's also quite clear, by the acceptance of The Black Fleet, that they have neither the intentions nor the abilities to keep Theta secure.
I certainly hope the Zoners come to their senses before the AW weakens them any further. We all know that the Corsairs have long looked upon the biodomes of Freeport 9 with desire. Further turmoil in the region would certainly lend itself to the Corsairs' advantage. The ramifications of which could turn the whole of the south of Sirius into a war zone.
For my part, I will be strengthening trade relations in the regions of Kusari space. I have already met with several commidities brokers who are eager to increase their business dealings with us. Any interested transport pilots may contact me by the usual methods to obtain information and references.
