The artisans guild was found out by some Freelancers who considered themselves to be 'artisans' of the art of war. They considered War as an Art rather than something else. They gained immense knowledge on old civilisations on earth and how they payed their respect to their ' Arts'. War was no more an word to them, but something above their life. They would give their life to learn the art of ' War' and use it for their so called 'righteous cause'. They now see the cause behind the Gallic Invasions and saw it as a chance to expand their Guild with the money from the Crown in return for helping them in the ' war'. They however work for various other factions provided they have the right cause ( according to them). They now are based from 'Koeln' and the 'Gaian' Bases. They strictly consider Freelancers who does not pay obeisance to them as ' Unfriendly' and may shoot them down.

It sounds nice so far, I'm guessing this isn't a complete write-up yet. The main thing that's a tad unclear to me is the exact nature of the 'righteous cause'. Yes it's war, but why specifically is war considered so righteous, is it honour-based, religion, or bloodlust. Without trying to sound negative, it really rather needs a great deal of elaboration on that front as it seems to be the focus of the guild.
Also, by what measures would other factions' causes be considered right?
Kinda it is... But the diplomatic relations RP will be great as it surrounds some peculiar RP. Righteous in the sense they want money and a cause that sounds reasonable like Xenos fighting against Liberty and Molly's and so on... However we do not support criminals.
Well, I was avoiding scavenger's approach of coming straight out and saying it, but without some serious, and I mean SERIOUS backstory, there's no hope for a faction that's main focus is fighting. That sort of thing seems to rub so far against the grain it's actually at right angles to reality.
However, if you're not demotivated by that, which I don't intend for you to be, then may I make a few suggestions. Firstly, Freelancers, who's primary goal is to fight (or wage war) for money are generally called mercenaries. Now, to my knowledge (which is rather limited in Disco current affairs) there's no Gai... Ga... Ugh, I can't even type it. There's no Frenchie Mercenary group, and while you have said they're looking to help the Crown, you imply they're not Gailic themselves. This by default makes them the enemies of Gailia, and therefore, not someone they'de hire. I can't advise how you could change your guild's story to work around existing Gailic roleplay, but I can say that you need to.

That's rather an interesting approach and you're right, there isn't a Ga, Gai, Ga, Gaian...gah, Frog Merc group. What about a Frog Foreign Legion type group though, that might work! By the way, dibs on the French Frogs Foreign Legionnaire!
FFFL, putting something extra into FL that it didn't need in the first place: Since 4.84, or whenever Frogs came along...
Sorry, frog-bashing aside, that's a bit off-topic...
Talking to Neil on Skype atm, seeing what we can brainstorm...
