Zealot, I do understand your concern and I believe that I have made that perfectly clear during are long and fruitful discussions. The removal of the Osiris from the Corsair lore, history and server is NOT something we wish to do. I'm the one who started this discussion and I wish to execute the idea, without further complications or OoRP tensions between certain members.
It has been said many times, from myself, that the Corsairs are the master shipbuilders, without whom a huge portion of the current Order capital ship fleet, would not have existed. We, I, do not wish to deny that, nor will I.
The hull of the ship, the armor plating, the weapon systems are all known to the Corsairs and they have proved more then capable of utilizing them. However, the technical details, almost everything, which has to do with the usage of alien or LSF technology was never revealed and all Osiris ships, so far, have been created with the, small, help of Order scientist and engineers. The same way the bulk of older, Corsair players do not wish to see their factions history tampered with is exactly what we don't wish to see being done to The Order. The two factions have been in a long standing alliance with extremely close relations between one another, as such, that would have never been a problem.
I wish to repeat myself. I do not have the intention to remove the current Osiris from the hands of Corsairs captains who are in its possession currently. What I wish to see is the removal of the ship from Corsair SY and bases, thus rendering new players incapable of acquiring it. The ship will ONLY be removed, once a suitable replacement has been created and accepted by the Leaders of the Corsairs factions. Technical details about the ship, such as armor, speed and etc are of NO CONCERN what so ever to The Order High Command. It's your ship and your design, do with it as you please, with the cooperation of the development team, of course. I believe however, that the role the Osiris currently fills should be kept and the ship should be a duplicate, in terms of performance, to the "original" Osiris.
Let us not spur into unwanted debates with people who may or may not be directly concerned with this topic. As I said, I'm willing to aid the Elders in what ever way they wish, in order to speed this process up.

My comment was not directed at you, but at Nooblet who is making the subtle suggestion that the lore and development of the Osiris and what to do with it lies solely with the Order and is to the Order players to decide alone.
Nooblet: I do believe the admins said that the Osiris is as much a Corsair ship as it is an Order ship.
So it's not a case of us not liking you having control of your own ship.
Because it isn't quite yours now is it?
If its anyone's, its the Liberty Navy's...
I also think that Order technology isn't superior in every way to the Corsairs technology. Something about the Nephthys using the Titan powercore... ? For sure, it's not as one-sided as people seem to think.

I believe that we have already agreed to several points of what you just said, I see no real reason to rant about it.
I would really like to see people restraining themselves from posting detailed explanations of who has more brain power in terms of ship creation. I'll save you the trouble, The Corsairs do. But this topic was never about that to start with.
Now, I honestly believe that this discussion should be continued somewhere else. Skype for instance.
I think this has strayed off the topic at hand; the appropreateness of this model for the Corsair shipline in the postion of "light battleship" to replace the Osiris (as an evolved or, indeed, devolved form of the original).

Im grateful for Eternal making this statement, and I really hope this is the case. We have 12 pages of discussion on this ship model, many people have been positive, many people have raised concerns, and many people have given constructive criticism. Allot of comments have been ignored or replied to with flippant comments referring people back to previous posts where Curios also ignored criticism.
Now, I can completely understand a desire to defend your model, and god knows it must have taken allot of work to get this far, but I think to assume that it's now perfect and that there are no improvements that can be made, and therefore that any criticism is invalid is a little ignorant.
No model is ever perfect, but where there ARE criticisms to be made, and suggestions on how to make the model even better, these shouldn't be just deflected.
Designers like Angel of Mercy and Jinx will probably tell you that often their first sumbissions gain huge and emphatic positive feedback, but a year or so down the line after implementation in the mod, people start complaining about flaws and asking for a remodel. Certainly, my aim is to ensure that any model added into the mod is as good as it can realisticly be, and reduce the likelihood of looking at it in a year's time in-game and thinking "you know what? This bit isnt quite right...".
I think Eternal may have over-stated the influence of the principle Corsair Clan leaders over what happens with the mod re. Corsair ships, BUT he is correct that in order for a mod to get into the game, it'll need the support of the Corsair playerbase.
Both leaders of the 2 official Corsair clans (myself of Benitez, and Montoya of TBH) have expressed that they are not entirely satisfied with this model in it's current form. But, hell, what do our opinions matter?
Ah, thanks alot. ye. If I'm not replying on every single comment in thread with great wall of china of text it means that I'm ignorant? Okay, I agreed. I'm very ignorant person. Yes. Of cause. It's np. But i always tried to do what someone tells me. And, having model in hand i saw what is good and what is not so. Few suggestions where really helpful, some are not.
5 March <- time of topic's start. All discussions where ended about a month ago. Now some people came, after more then 3 months and start talking "this wrong","that wrong".
