I was trying to search for it in the forums but all the threds are 2-3 years old. Eitherway - my problem is when ever i try to enable /autobuy all on it tells me 'command disabled'. Is it off?
It's off at the moment, yeah. It causes bans ever since we implemented different ammo caps for different weapons because it doesn't know how to read ammo caps.

Now you can all find out what it feels like to realise you rushed into a snub brawl with no regens, mines, disruptors, or CMs.
I never used autobuy either. I was always (and still am) too cheap to buy 70 friggin' nuclear mines at once. I'm not going to use all 70 of them before my sudden and inevitable betrayal.
Currently looking into autobuy. Good news is I've found where it's implemented. Bad news is it's a mess.
Currently, autobuy will buy enough ammo (missiles, mines, CDs, CMs) to fill you up to the vanilla-style limit, which is a constant number across the board. In 4.87, that's set to 200. Let's use the Train Cruise Disruptor as an example. It has an ammo limit of 70 missiles. When autobuy sees you have a TCD mounted, it will try to fill your TCD ammo up. It does it by topping you up to 200, which the game realizes is totally wrong and the server kicks and/or bans you for suspected cheating (200 > 70, after all).
What needs to be done is autobuy needs to be partially rewritten to respect the ammo_limit field each ammo-based weapon has. This is actually more work than you'd think it is, and it is something that will be added to my list of things to take a look at fixing.

I would like to see it back as well. It makes for faster landings, more time playing, and less annoying 2nd docks to pick up forgotten ordinance. I hope it is still on your todo list! Thanks!
