The "Loki" was the very first of the Asgard line of ships, designed to replace the aging Border Worlds line with vessels fitted to operate in the dangerous environments of southern Sirius. The first vessels of this kind were only slightly slower than comparable heavy fighters, but their stronger armament allowed them to compete with heavier fighters, frequently by catching them off guard with their torpedoes and heavy weaponry, thus giving meaning to the project's codename: "Loki", the trickster.
Sarah's Summary
Alright, this is one of my favorite birds. Why? Well, glad you asked. It's got a heavy enough powerplant to fire all day with what you're likely to put on it, and it can mount a disruptor in in addition to a torpedo. The downside is a bit of a drain on maneuverability and the loss of that missile hardpoint (but who uses those anyway?), but in return you get a ship flexible enough to do whatever you need it to do, when you need it done. One of the best options, in my opinion, if you're out there alone. Of course, you'll have to talk to the Hessians to get hold of one. Good luck with that.

Manufacturer's Summary
An ancient testament to frugal ship design, the Marauder has been in production in one fashion or another for centuries. The simple design is unmatched in simplicity and maintenance, in many cases leaving environmental support to what the pilot can haul into his cockpit, in turn vastly increasing its demand amongst gearheads looking for a vessel which can be reliably tinkered without overwhelming fear of catastrophic failure. In fact, most 'standard' vessels of the class are simply hand downs which have undergone similar process.
One of the few true examples of a vessel that can reliably be purchased by virtually anyone with the credits in hand, the Marauder remains a rare, but not entirely uncommon, vessel to chance upon in the far reaches of space and tradelanes alike by pilots of all stripes.
Sarah's Summary
Wow, this is an old one. Some of my first hands-on tinkering was with a Marauder, and boy is it reflected in the design. Reliable as they come, a Marauder'll keep going with one fuel intake valve miswired, and another one half-clogged. Trust me, I've been there. The Marauder's intentionally basic design makes it easy to swap out parts and keep them flying, but they tend to have such wildly differing internal setups that any sort of design consistency across the range just goes right out the window. Generally, there's a fairly massive (if outdated) core hiding out the back, with enough energy to power a brace of similarly low-tech, but no less effective for it, weaponry. It's a great testbed, but I'd be hesitant taking one up against the Military.

Hull Cost:1.386.630SC Based:Zwickau Depot (Dresden) Variants:Banshee (Obsolete), Valkyrie (Obsolete), Wraith
Manufacturer's Summary
Rheinland ships are generally known for their power and reliability, more so than their agility. However, of late the newer versions of the Banshee and Valkyrie have been adding more of that power and reliability to their engines. Both ships are using better, lighter metals that are stronger then others, so the naval ship builders can get away with putting less thickness onto the frames.
The Phantom in particular is an exception to the Rheinland rule about agility. The ship is relatively lightly armed and armored, but its agility matches that of any heavy fighter on the market. Anyone expecting the "slow but steady" typical Rheinlanders is going to get a rather nasty shock.
Primarily used for police work and interception, the Phantom is a staple of the Military Police units in Rheinland, and deservedly so.
Sarah's Summary
If the Loki's one of my favorite birds, then this one's definitely at the top of the list. Sure, her power core falls a little short of the Loki's, but she makes up for it with a heavier hull and maneuverability to match that of the Loki. Daumann might be a tool in oppressing Rheinland, but they know how to handle a ship (with the exception of the Wraith. Seriously, who puts an exhaust port ther- Sorry. We'll talk about that later). As an added bonus, we've managed to crack some older Military schematics on Zwickau, so as long as we keep the resources coming in, we can produce a few of these fighters and enough parts to keep them flying. Go us.

Manufacturer's Summary
The Order's expirimentation with the early Bastet model laid bare several critical flaws in the design. The overequipped, but underpowered Bastet simply lacked the maneuverability and endurance to survive long enough to bring its firepower to bear. Order engineers redesigned the ship, using it's basic, proven frame for a new, more agile vessel. The resulting Bastet Mk II is mainly used for force recon in areas deemed too dangerous for Order interceptors, and regular escort patrols in lower risk areas.
Sarah's Summary
You know, I actually got my hopes up with this one. Found tonnes of information, schematics, the whole lot. Wrote it all up and, yeah, turns out it was for the Mark I version. The one that the Order have since stopped flying. Thanks for that one guys, really. Anyway, as far as I can determine this bird's the Order primary combatant in most circumstances, though a few of the manuals we've got are still calling it a Heavy Fighter, the design really doesn't suit that classification, so I'm guessing the labeling is probably just the Order being the Order, and I've cataloged it accordingly.
So, pretty much the same deal as the Onuris here. If you find one these things floating around, it'd be awesome if you could bring it back so I can take a proper look at it.

Manufacturer's Summary
Few vessels have seen as much popular and widespread use in Sirius as the CTE-6000. With her ease of maintenance, rugged reliability and near universal supply of readily available parts, the nimble Eagle often finds itself in service as the space superiority fighter of choice for pilots ranging from convoy escorts to house terrorists.
Sarah's Summary
We've got a few of these on station, mostly from corporate escort types who saw the light. As far as very heavies go, the Eagle's on the lighter end, and can out turn most any equivalent ship it goes up against, and give a few heavy fighters a run for their money. However; in a straight up fight, a Wraith'll have the advantage on that front. Similar to the Griffin and the Falcon, parts are only marginally less common then rocks (and Rocs, at that) out here, so it's a handy ship to have on station if you're not quite set to learn to read German displays yet. Also it looks vaguely like a spider from front-on.

Manufacturer's Summary
An entirely new shipline which has its origins in old Border world experimental designs, the HFX series' development was quick and completely unrelated to the one of the "Bayonet" Heavy Fighter. While the series seems to bear some external design similarities, in particular the so-called "boxiness", to current Borderworld ships, the ships are not built for general versatility, but instead for top-of-the-line performance in combat situations.
While the ship's frame is incredibly stable, the newly designed internal components are very sensitive to all kinds of dirt and damage, making the costs to maintain the ship and keep it operational almost three times as high as for a comparable ship of its class.
Sarah's Summary
Just read that part again, okay? Very sensitive to all kinds of dirt and damage. Our bases are in asteroid fields. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this. I'm sure the Falchion's a great ship and all, but the problem is that I've never actually seen one on Bruchsal that wasn't in the maintenance queue. Make of that what you will. Anyway, it's a popular sort of ship with people who don't have to maintain them, so if you're looking for a joyride, Heisenberg would be a good place to start. Just... Yeah. Very sensitive.

Manufacturer's Summary
A result of the XKR Project, the Insurgent Very Heavy Fighter is the multirole combat variant of the highly modular XKR-151-A "Partisan" Light Fighter. Modified to be a reliable and powerful combat vessel, the Insurgent completes its missions with ferocity and power.
As with all other ships of the XKR Series, the Insurgent is highly modular allowing any damaged parts to be replaced quickly and new ones to be integrated into the design with ease.
Sarah's Summary
The pilots out in the Omegas used to call these ships demons, and I can understand why. I've never had a ship try to kill me so many times for just trying to open the engine bay. Once you get around the anti-tamper devices (read: explosives) though, the ship's surprisingly well designed. Like the Partisan, the whole thing's modular, so we could theoretically continually alter our ships on the fly to suit the circumstances. Downside being that we don't actually have that many modules to hand.
Oh, and the Oberst doesn't like them flying under Widerstand colors, though there's a few serving with the rest of the Bundschuh. Something about a bad reputation. Fly at your own risk.

Manufacturer's Summary
Orillion's Corps of Engineers latest development, the Nephthys is a vastly improved Anubis. During the Nomad war, the Anubis proved to be a reliable ship, but its armor and weaponry were outclassed by alien enemies. Many skilled pilots of The Order were killed in unequal fights, and the resultant weakening of the organization lead to a doubtful alliance with Corsairs. Using the Titan's power array, Order engineers constructed the Nephthys, one of the heaviest and most powerful fighters ever seen in Sirius.
Sarah's Summary
I've actually got some information on this one! I know, I was surprised too. Turns out it's the Order's primary patrol craft, so I guess it's not too surprising. Anyway, the Nephthys is big, even for a very heavy. I think I understand why the classification on the Bastet was so messed up now. They were trying to compare it to this thing. Presumably designed for hunting all sorts of aliens in some of the most remote regions in Sirius, the repairs we've performed for passing patrols all indicate that it's got an exceptionally tough hull, with the usual hit to maneuverability that implies. The drive signature matches what we've seen on the larger Corsair ships, though its hard to say whether it's identical or a variant thereof without the ships in front of me. No information on how its core stands up in, combat, I'm afraid.

Manufacturer's Summary
The "Odin" is presently considered as the workhorse of the Red Hessians, destined to slowly replace the Border Worlds fighters as the mainstay of their forces in the Edge Worlds. Designed as a heavily armored version of the Loki, this fighter exhibits high speed and maneuverability while still offering a good degree of protection from both environmental hazards and enemy gunfire. Its well calibrated stern mounted reactor allows the ship to keep its engines on high power, while still allowing it to deliver an energy weapon punch worthy of its namesake.
Sarah's Summary
And, the Hessians make a return. It's not quite as tricky as the Loki, unfortunately, but the Odin's a credible fighter, leaning towards the heavy end of things. Think of it as an Insurgent with slightly better maneuverability, slightly less armor and less chance of exploding in my face. The design's fairly sensible, but the power core and targeting systems are all clustered in at the centre of the ship, which makes them a fairly easy target. Still, if the bad guys keep hitting the relatively empty wings (which they will do. Those things are big enough to qualify as a mobile station.), you're not likely to lose more then a tank of fuel. Honestly, though, I'd go with the Sabre. It's easier to fly, easier to source parts for, and doesn't generate nearly as many awkward conversations.

Manufacturer's Summary
The Raven's Talon is a civilian vessel built by many independent shipbuilding factions, such as the Independent Miners Guild, Zoners and Junkers. A ship not usually bought for it's looks, it is a good choice for the freelancer who prefers solid performance over flash.
The Raven's Talon can be found in service across Sirius, having made its way onto the black market, and is sold all over the sector. In addition to being flown by civilian pilots, it can be found in the hands of many mercenaries, freelancers and pirates. Its popularity is in no small part due to the widespread availability of (compatible) replacement parts, making the Raven's Talon one of the most easily maintainable ships on the market.
Sarah's Summary
Good ship, this one. And I'm not just saying that because I can get replacement parts at Kreuzberg for less then a Manhattan cinema ticket (it helps, though). The Raven's Talon's not quite as common as the CTE- line, yet, but they're working on it. The ship's about as simple as them come internally, though the wiring's usually a bit of a mess. It's not particularly pretty, so that's handy if you want to sneak into a Junker meeting or something (Hey. Not here to judge, okay?), and it does tend to mean people won't pay as much attention to you. The Talon's not quite as acceptable in a corporate setting as something like the Eagle, so if you're planning to sneak under the radar, the CTE- line may be a better choice. Otherwise, it's a pretty dependable choice, and we've got all the replacement parts you could possibly want a short flight away.
