Like where this going guys ... Trading at the moment, apart from the obvious money
makers for bring on new chars is a little tame. Time to make very challenging, long,
and highly profitable routes to make it worthwhile.

Ahh...the voice of reason speaks!! Good point Hoodlum.
We need to spice up the trading a bit.
More profitable routes...More dangerous routes...
Maybe even dangerous enough that a trader would need escorts...*visions of massive trading convoys in his head*

We've already got military vehicles guys, suppose we could ask igiss to alter it...
The alcohol idea came up the last time too
Consumer goods ARE the basic everyday stuff, clothes, furniture, etc (if you read the infocard it pretty muchs says so).
Well the military vehicles aren't really found in very many places. In fact only a few select bases/planets. It should be more widespread. For example make them sellable from planets with high industry. Such as Leeds would probably make some. Then we would have them sold on shipyards and major military bases. Like they would load these vehicles aboard battlships so when the space above a planet is cleared they send down dropships with mroe than just marines. Alcohol should be sold pretty high in Bretonia and Rheinland seeing as how Germany and Great Britain are heavy drinking countries.
Another idea is ships. Transporting fighters to different bases. How do you think bases get fighters to sell? For example you buy a "package" of fighters from Baltimore shipyard. When you send the fighter package to another base it buys it for how much the fighters cost on that base. As you get farthur and farthur out to border worlds the fighters become more expensive. Meaning the farthur you fly the more youor gonna make. And this actually won't cause problems such as getting too much money for the runs as you have to buy them for the same amount the ship is sold there. So say you buy ships in New York, your will buy it from one of the two shipyards or maybe planets as well for the average costs of fighters in that system. So NY would be about 10k Theta would be like 1.8mil. If you buy it in Rheinland its gonna cost enough that to buy that it won't make it a super run. The only problems come with the Alaska route to Delta... That would cause a super run. I'm not sure how we could fix that.
Who knows maybe we can RP more buy using transports or something load them with troops, vehicles and stuff and make whos knows? Base and planetary invasions?
I also think economy should be changing depending on supply and demand. Lets say everything has a decay time and the more stuff gets used the less things in a base, the more they will need, the more the certain comodity is worth.
Get the idea?
Been here since Discovery 4.77 (lurk mode engaged)
Zapp Wrote:I have recently met and discussed with Atalawohisdi the trader that flies the Caribe. Just so everyone knows, I engaged in Sigma 13. He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.
He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.
