Most trading corporations have a chance to mine something, and Hackers mine traders.

What can these factions mine?

If you're concerned about other factions, by all means brainstorm some suggestions and throw up a thread. Making that comment here is like... the exemplar of a pointless comment.

One step at a time i guess but bretonia DOES need some more activity.
But jammi are we just bolting out on gold in Dublin?
but i guess when it was buffed prices then no one still touched it much. Or am i wrong?
I'd like to see more bret miners down there or in the other gold ore area.
Edit: Also for the post above.
Those are shipping companies. not mining ones.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

:O we can do that?
OK another thing to do on the list of things!
Or would this fall under a player request?
I guess after we write and it gets +1s then we submit one?
Faction perks?

Hm, point.
Still I see nothing bad in getting something mineable.
And Ageira for example has the lane parts , controlled per definition.
What about asking for a faction perk ? Lane parts price up at O3, or at some other system with unfinished lanes ? Or even build some background story around supplies being low but demand being high, get ALL sellpoints boosted and then agressively hunt unlicenced trade lange hauling ?
Heck, Snak3 : you are an experienced faction leader, I dont have to motherbreast you ?
It´s about giving a commodity a chance, setting a perk or a boost, not a general balance discussion ?
Make it a safer mining with a shorter route but better yield. Bring some varying to the mining, instead of "Faction X mining commodity Y and selling it for ~10k at 6-7 jumps away".
Like the old Scrap Metal mining, perhaps, sold for an okay price close by, so the route is shorter and the risk lower, but the money yield also lower (even when it comes to money made per time invested)
Since they are theoretically the only faction with the necessary tools to gather terraforming materials I think it makes perfect sense for Planetform to have that.

Should give them a nice boost as well.
the thing is unless you give a faction an OP trading commodity then that thing will not usually get people to play the faction.
Commodities are only an addition to the things you need to have an active faction.
Quote:also what would the prices approx be like? for the new ores
Obviously, taking both RP sense and distance into account, sells prices (low to high) would go something along the lines of Planet Harris (5,500ish), Cali-Minor (7,000), Cold Bay (9,000), Planet Muira (12,000), or something along those lines would be my proposal.
Quote:Also in reference to I am guessing the Gaians and the Mollys?
These two would more likely be the obvious antagonists to these operations, especially the Gaians, hopefully boosting their activity as well.
Quote:But jammi are we just bolting out on gold in Dublin?
Gold hasn't been what it used to be anyways, and that activity mostly centers on BMM/Mollys. This one gives bit more specific interest to Planetform, who otherwise have no major drawing factors.

Are all dedicated shipping companies, who otherwise have no real business mining anything. That is what the mining corps are for. Flourine gas is more unique, and since we don't have GMG presence down in Bretonia, Planetform would be a good candidate for it, as Jammi already mentioned.

Everything makes sense except for.... I'd argue a close sellpoint would rather be not 5500 but instead 3000-4000
But that is my take on it... time wise
