Border World Exports, commonly known as Bowex, is the single oldest shipping conglomerate in all of Sirius and posses a rich and distinguished history. Originally founded in 66 AS as the Bretonia Exploration & Trading Company (BE&T), Bowex has been the backbone of the Bretonian economy for centuries, and has been involved in nearly every major event in Bretonian history. In addition, Bowex has become known as a pioneer in the field of exploration, charting new territories for Bretonia in border worlds. As a nationalised corporation with the exclusive shipping rights to the government, BAF and BPA, Bowex has become utterly essential for the continuation of a Bretonian defence against the myriad enemies of the realm.
Bowex is currently looking for skilled and enthusiastic candidates to fill vacancies in both the Shipping Combine and ExSec (Exploration and Security) divisions. While prior experience is not demanded, a valid pilot's license from any of the four Sirian Houses is a mandatory requirement. Additional training can be provided upon confirmation of employment. Successful applicants will be assigned a corporate vessel from Scarborough Shipyard, or if entering with their own vessel, examined for suitability and offered a free service.
OORP Information Who are we, and what can we offer to you?
While the inRP writeup above gives a good indication of what makes the NPC faction 'tick', it doesn't tell you - the prospective applicant - very much about us here at Bowex) itself. Currently led by @WolfO9, we strongly believe the faction should serve its members, not the other way around. Between our generous bonuses system and inclusive and humourous atmosphere, it's clear just how much we value the people who make the faction what it is. We're here as a tool and framework to allow you to have fun, while promoting great roleplay at the same time.
Common in-game activities include group convoys to Liberty, Rheinland and occasionally Kusari. These can involve carrying ore-type commodities mined by our sister-faction BMM-, or one of the many lore friendly trade routes we've collected for our members to use. Canary Wharf Station in New London usually has a large supply of Gold Ore for those who are interested, and our work with BMM- usually means there are opportunities to haul goods to the station as well, effectively profiting twice!
Beyond basic trading, we also frequently take part in Planet Leeds "blockade runs". This involves freighters sneaking into the system and attempting to rescue Refugees from the docking satellite on the planet's rear. These thrilling operations can involve multiple members, often with freighters shuttling evacuees up to transports that are waiting outside. Obviously this involves a real risk of the GRN realising what's going on and scrambling to put a stop to us, adding to the fun!
Bowex) also has an extremely active security wing, with shared fighters and bombers scattered across Bretonia for members to use as they please. Whether escorting or actively hunting pirates or military targets within our ZoI (Zone of Interest), there's always plenty of things to do. Spotted a Corsair in Cambridge? Feel free to show him the door. The BAF are mustering for an attack on Leeds? Feel free to tag along as a Civil Defence Initiative militia ship and broil some frogs. The ability to cash in your kills on the Crown Services bounty board for double the reward also ensures you'll be well compensated, whatever your department.
Above all else, what we're really about is developing distinct and enjoyable characters. Rather than a character simply being a transport to blandly grind credits, we promote our members to be creative and develop their characters to be their own entities, with relationships that encompass their co-workers and those they encounter. Within Bowex), it's the norm to discover rich internal RP in group chat, with convoy captains sharing banter over past interactions. It's been the case in the past and present that if you see a Bowex) tag, you could be sure of a good interaction - and that's something we're hoping to foster well into the future with your help.
If that sounds like something you'd be interested in - whether you're new here or a veteran of years, a native English speaker or someone who's still learning - just drop us an application and give us a try. Write out the form below from the perspective of your character, and we'll get back to you ASAP. Looking forward to seeing you in-game!

Greetings, Director Adama, my name is Winston Smith. This transmission is in response to a message I received through the Border World Export Recruitment Terminal. You will find all necessary information below. If there are any questions or concerns, I will be stationed on Planet New London and can be reached through standard communications systems.
I was born on Planet New London in 791 A.S. and have lived there ever since.
My last job was at the New London Ministry of Truth in the Records Department, but I had to leave because my thoughts and opinions did not mesh with those of the management.
My flight experience comes from my father, Stephen Smith. My father is a veteran of the Nomad War of 800 A.S. where he served under Admiral Chambers of the Norfolk Fleet during operations in Omega 3.
He has been taking me flying around New London as long as I could remember; it was a great escape from the dull, dreary life on the planet. I watched and learned how the Bretonian Police and Armed Forces monitored the system's trade lanes and took down smugglers and other criminals. My father also showed me how basic trading worked in the system and the general flow of things outside of the planet.
Ever since I have been old enough I have been flying around and exploring as much of Bretonia as I could, and I am eager to learn more and serve my home system. What I lack in experience I more than make up for in enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
I am applying to the Border World Exports Shipping Division, as I want to explore further away from my home while providing essential services to Border World Exports customers.
I stashed enough money away while working for the Ministry of Truth to have purchased my own ship. While I originally flew a small civilian fighter to get around, I now fly a Clydesdale Freighter and have been attuning myself to the larger ship. Soon I will be good enough to fly even larger transports and fulfill a greater role with Border World Exports.
My ship is currently named the Julia Dixon after a girl I met at the Ministry. I never really talked to her, but I saw her at the office all the time; I could just never get the guts to speak to her. I know that she was special because she made me have the weirdest dreams. Someday I will go back there and take her away from that dull, mundane life and have her travel with me...
I am, however, willing to change my ship's name to suit the Border World Exports regulations.
As I mentioned earlier, I am very eager to explore all of Bretonia and the other systems in the Universe. I want to learn about other cultures and how the economy works in different systems. I am curious to see how changes in one system will affect others, and what I can do to make things better for myself and others. Border World Exports is a very key part of Bretonia's economy, her history, and her future.
I appreciate you taking the time to look over my application, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Winston Smith, Planet New London

##Victor starts filling in the application##
- What is your full name? My full name would Victor Crispin
- Where do you live? I reside in Planet new London.
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have? Since nobody starts big I started with a basic 250 cargo ship with minimal level defenses transporting good from New London to other systems in which I could have a chance to make profits from. After saving up I slowly upgraded my components and ships. I've never worked with other companies before I've always been a Independent Merchant , now that I'm getting bigger in space I'm considering to apply for the first time.
- To what division are you applying? I'm applying for the Shipping division since it's all I know that I do.
- Do you already own a ship? If so, what kind? Yes, I already own my own ship which it's model is the "CT-53 Heron Civilian Train."
- If you are applying for the Shipping division, what would you name your ship? Why? If I had to choose a name for my ship I would name it "Colossus" , why you ask because since my ship is so important to me and it's size it seems right to call it like that.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports? I'm interested in joining "Bowex" because I have decided to settle down on something bigger than me, and also because I've seen that some or all the members look very helpful to other and make me feel more at home.
-Tell us about yourselves, what are you dislikeskes etc
I like and dislike many thing, but for over all I like moving thing from on side to another place in which it's required even more. But my biggest pest are pirate something that I think that everyone has on there dislike list. Since I love to hang around others of my same liking I love watching the sights of the outer worlds and helping others if they have problem and I also love to ask question for anything that I need help from. I can also say that I dislike people that think they are above other and which they aren't then they end up blown up if you know what I mean but that goes together with the pirate scum.
