Interestingly, I believe I haven't yet a pleasure to speak with you outside of The Treaty quorum. With the unfortunate dissolution of the Ghosts of Razgriz -nota bene our main Outcast partner for years - and the evacuation of our facility on Corsica Outer Sanctum, we are yet to get to know each other better and improve mutual understanding of each other's needs and expectations. I believe that there is nothing better to break the initial ice than a fresh portion of a highly classified intelligence.
We came into possession of coordinates to a hidden system in the Independent Worlds used as a hideout and base of operations by The Council forces operating in Sirius sector. We came into possession of this knowledge at significant cost in resources and considerable risk. However, we wish to offer you this intelligence for a symbolic sum of 50 000 000 SC and a small favor Mr Yoshida will explain by himself.

There has been little seen of the Ghosts I'm afraid. Occasionally we'll spot a vessel approaching Bastia, seemingly from Corsica but they'll typically vanish from radar soon after. A shame, truly; we were safer with them than without, in many more avenues than I believe even you are aware of.
To the point however, I do regret our lack of any immediate contact. The reconstruction of the Flotta Cremisi has been the priority project of the Holy Order's Council, and has occupied much of our time. I do believe one of my Inquisition initiates had meant to contact you for one reason or another but I cannot be sure. We shall have to fix this little problem soon, I'm sure we could be of benefit to each-other.
Regardless: such information as to the enemies of the Orange Dream and the Nacion is welcome news, but in my years I've learned not to immediately trust such information outright. You'll forgive my hesitation but I've been burned before, and have no intention of sending any of my people into harms way without the whole story. I'd like to know a little bit more on the subject before I commit to anything, such as specifics as to how you acquired it, the estimated strength and composition of such forces, and what we can expect in this "hideout".
Further, I'd like to know of this "favor" your man has to ask of us; I trust we'll be fully briefed as to the matter at hand so I implore you: do not delay.
And above all: smile, and rejoice. If all goes well and the Spirits guide us well enough, another enemy of the Orange Dream will soon be crushed like the petulant insects that they are.
I bid you good day from the Lane Hackers. As you may well know Ms Hunter has retired from public because of her participation in an extremely difficult and important project. When she did send you this transmission, she wanted to settle all outstanding business before her departure. However her message was sent too prematurely.
One of the things that changed since the Professor's tranmission is that the Ghosts of Razgriz have returned; albeit with some familiar faces in its leadership, different agenda and a new set of their own laws. While we are not particularly fond of this internal strife of power and the bureaucracy that it creates, we have complete faith that the Cardinals of Cross will make sure cardamine trade is not hampered in any way.
As for the main subject of this communication, I would like to offer you critical information as demanded by 2.1 paragraph of the Orange Treaty. That is a detailed report of the homeworld of the Council, a system hidden deep inside the Tau sector and in fact one of the jump holes leading there is very close to one of your bases. Considering the strategic value of the Taus for the entire Maltese nation and the potential gains, I believe you realize the importance of the information that myself and a few other operatives uncovered.
Despite the original value of this intel, as Professor Hunter indicated, we would like to offer it to the Crimson Cross as a gesture of appreciation, friendship and cooperation that we share with our allies. Our requests in return are of symbolic nature since they are not equal to what we are offering. 1. A symbolic sum of 50 000 000 SC. 2. The location and travel routes that Isabelle Engler, also goes by the pompous title of "Witch of Malta", is usually taking within Outcast territory. We also ask of discretion should something bad happen to this individual. 3. The destruction of a Council ship or modular base inside the hidden homeworld. While this happens your vessel should inform them that "the Lane Hackers send their regards".
I am eagerly waiting for your responce, High Cardinal.

Signore Yoshida,
I must apologize, for I am usually far better about being timely with my correspondence than this- perhaps it is the final stages of my twilight years that has allowed your communique to slip past my cursory glimpse back into reality-- rest assured however, this is not a sign of disinterest in your newly revised offer; quite the opposite, actually.
To speak directly: we have little interest in the affairs of these new "Ghosts" shame as they are to the name they bear. They're allowed to make all the smug pronouncements they like; it will not waver my people nor will it hamper any of our operations in relation to the Orange Dream. From a perspective such as yours, I can understand how the events surrounding their "return" might seem a struggle, but know this well: it is little more than a footnote to us. We will persevere through their shameful display and ensure a future for all who stand beside Malta and the Orange.
Onto more pleasant matters: I'll admit, I was a little disappointed when I didn't hear back from the Professor regarding the information promised. To be privy to such information would do wonders for the political scope of the Taus in the coming years.
That being said, I must question something: what significance is this signora Engler to the Lane Hackers that specifics as to their whereabouts would be seen as valid partial compensation for such an arrangement? Make no mistake: there is more than enough interest to warrant serious consideration for your proposition, but there is much to the effect of pure curiosity in the Quorum Chambers regarding that specific detail.
Finally, as for your third point: I take it this particular bullet-point is meant to spite someone in higher-power within the Council specifically? If this is indeed the case, consider it done. We need little more than the information itself and will be more than glad to deliver unto the Council the reprimand of those many times their greater, and those in close collusion with the Nazione.
Deliver unto me these simple answers and in return, you will have your answer. May great fortune find you, brother of Mactan.
High Cardinal Armando, thank you for your positive reply. I shall answer your questions in full.
The payment destination is an anonymous off-House bank account, its name is LH~Cochrane.Exchanger. Regarding Ms Engler, she has been personally involved and directed a large network of infiltrators in Liberty on behalf of an organization which I am not allowed to reveal, an organization considered as an enemy by the Lane Hackers. Her apprehension will undermine the entire network.
As for the Council, an official representative of their organization invited us to their homeworld. He was respectful and wanted a positive relationship with us. We followed the instructions and found the hidden gateway to that system. Inside there we found another official transport captain who exchanged a few welcoming words and provided us with more intel. And this is when those Gallic scums betrayed us as soon as we lowered our guard. Deceiver Weisen was alone outside their settled planet in his transport, when their General along with another ship intercepted him and eventually attacked him. My colleague managed to escape but this sissy act of the Council is something which we dearly want to repay in kind.
Their General was clearly concerned about the intel we had gathered, so when your warships enter their system and plunder its unspoiled riches, they need to know how you found out, how these scoundrels deserved all of this. We are ready to send you this classified report as soon as we have an agreement, High Cardinal.

I resent the use of the word "plunder" truth be told; such a phrase tends to inspire images of a uncivilized entity descending down upon a more refined one to take that which is not theirs. Such an image is not applicable for a Light-blessed chapter of warriors ridding the universe of these lowly, pathetic, dishonorable weaklings that would invite one in as an associate and then turn on them mere moments later as a means of betrayal. "Retribution and Liberation" I do believe would be a better turn of prose, don't you think?
The Church of Tarxien would be happy to descend upon them and perform such a righteous act in the name of an ally of such caliber as the Hackers are to Malta. However, a number of tasks need be performed and numerous individuals contacted prior; I would rather not allow a one-sided arrangement to become a stain upon our continued cooperation.
To be frank: we will need some time to assemble the information you requested on such an individual, and shall not be ready to present the rest of that which you request until such a time as said information is prepared, so as to have all that is asked for together and in-full.
High Cardinal Armando, I think we are both correct.
Since we are taking possessions by force that it is by definition, plundering. However considering that the Council higher-ups disillusioned Gallic workers with their neoliberalist agenda and illegally profited by their work for centuries, then those possessions are not rightfully theirs, so "retribution" and "liberation" are equally correct definitions.
Since we have an agreement High Cardinal, I trust the Crimson Cross will deliver the small things we asked for in a timely manner. On our part, the report on the Council's homeworld is already available, so I am going to attach it on this message. I am sure you will be pleased with our efficiency.
I am sending you this transmission from Freeport 6 while the transport still receives extensive repairs. The General of the Council along with one of his minions attacked me in Roussillon system but thankfully I made it to the freeport so that I can send you this important transmission. We have been betrayed!
But let's take things from the beginning.
Herr Yoshida has shared with me his initial logs which I am also going to present in this report. Apparently the Provocateur intercepted an empty Council transport in Colorado system. Even though the Council opened fire in the beginning, the captain was quickly intimidated to cease fire. During the conversation the captain told him many things about the Council and about the location of the new home of the Council, Roussillon system. Eventually, the captain named Imrahil Amroth invited us to their system. In return the Provocateur escorted the transport in Liberty and even stopped an Outcast from extorting the Gallic revolutionist. Herr Amroth paid for Mr. Yoshida's services of course.
However, the most important sentence of the entire chatlog was undoubtedly the following:
Imrahil Amroth Wrote:[23.05.2015 14:11:59] [C]-CLT-Aquitaine: 2/3 E on the navmap, as I said from Scarborough Station straight north
Even though Herr Yoshida didn't expect to find anything worthwhile he visited the location. To his astoundment he found a jump hole at exactly the location he was told. After he jumped he encountered a mine field but he was already warned by the Gallic so he had brought with him sensitive equipment which allowed him to discover the way out. In total Herr Yoshida made three surveys, and he has still explored only a small part of the entire system. His efforts were mainly hindered by the lack of a base of operations, so he had to return to Newcastle for refueling very often. It should be noted that a Kusari Battleship flying the old Imperial colors can also be found in the mining field's entrance. [1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8]
Nevertheless, during one survey he met a Council transport finding its way out of a much more complicated mining field which was surrounding another jump hole. The captain was very friendly, helpful and informative. Here is their brief discussion.
Communications log Wrote:Mr.Yoshida:- Oh, hello there. [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: hello Mr.Yoshida:- I was trying to find a way inside this mining field, but alas this ship has no significant survey equipment on it. Mr.Yoshida:- I think I'll follow the pattern you just showed me [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: Go to this base and straight to hole Mr.Yoshida:- Where are you going by the way? [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: Toulouse Mr.Yoshida:- That is the planet? [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: It is safety for these people Mr.Yoshida:- Oh I see. Thanks for letting me know. [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: safe journey Mr.Yoshida:- I think I'll stick around these sectors a bit longer. Thank you Captain. Mr.Yoshida:- First time the Lane Hackers hear about Toulouse. Looks like a terraformed planet. [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: no problem 2015-05-27 08:51:31 SMT Traffic control alert: [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois has requested to dock [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: no idea of origins just getting people away from the mad King Mr.Yoshida:- So you're a blockade runner? [C]-CLT-Coureur.de.Bois: More a liberator of people
Furthermore, the Provocateur also contacted FynnMcScrap, a leading figure of the T&T lackeys. Fynn revealed to him that there is also a jump hole leading to Baffin system, however we have not discovered its location yet. He also said that they are very secretive about this system, which was of course obvious since not even the Lane Hackers knew about it. [1 | 2]
Eventually, because of the difficulties in the survey pf the system and the lack of more interactions with the Council members who invited us in the first place, Mr Yoshida moved to more important tasks while he instructed me to continue what he had left unfinished. Inside Roussillon I also encountered a GMG transport named arijuk, which was however unresponsive. And that led me to today's encounter...
Initially it was a small Council fighter but then he called his master, a Council general according to him. I won't further comment on the conversation, as it speaks for itself. I am only attaching the evidence of the Council assault on the transport. [1 | 2 | 3]
[C]-CLN-Candide: Now, where were we at? [C]-CLN-Candide: Oh, oui. Explain yourself. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: I am at a loss. Shall I start from the beginning? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: I thought you were informed. [C]-CLN-Candide: Of what? [C]-CLN-Candide: Nobody having the authority to either invite you directly or suggest it have done so. LH~Domino.Theory: What? LH~Domino.Theory: He was a Kapitan! [C]-CLN-Candide: Et who's this "he"? [C]-Jean.Francouis: Well then he did it under the table LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Kapitan of [C]-CLT-Aquitaine, Herr Amroth! LH~Domino.Theory: An important man as we were told! [C]-CLN-Candide: You also spoke about the Coureur de Bois, what about that one? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: When I first entered this system with my crew I encountered him. He was carrying refugees. [C]-CLN-Candide: How many? LH~Domino.Theory: He told us about the Planet but he was in a hurry so I still didn't have docking access to Toulouse. LH~Domino.Theory: Thousands? I don't remember. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: How all those things come into a surprise for you? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: We were invited to come hier und we receive... such hostility. [C]-CLN-Candide: If the Coureur de Bois was carrying thousands, then I warn you one last time. No lies. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: The Lane Hackers never lie. We have evidence of everything I said. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Guten Tag StarRaven the second! [C]-CLN-Candide: Hmm. If you submit that evidence to the Council, you may leave in one piece. StarRaven.II: 'ehllo LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Leave? But Kapitan Amroth invited us! [C]-Jean.Francouis: Why do you need to be here in the first palce I wonder? [C]-CLN-Candide: And General LaFlamme will now throw you out. Then I'll have a talk with Monsieur Amroth later. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: We had no idea about this system, he told us where to find the jump hole and everything. [C]-Jean.Francouis: It seems we have a stain in our rankes monsiuer LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Throw me out? Do you know how this will look to our Professors? [C]-CLN-Candide: I know how it looks like right now. [C]-CLN-Candide: You are an intruder, whom if complies, may live an other day. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Don't forget that we now have knowledge of this system. [C]-CLN-Candide: I think that takes away one of our two options, doesn't it? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Intel that many group would like to purchase. Showing such unfriendlishness will only lead to further retaliation... LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: We have come as friends and now we are thrown out with no explanations. [C]-Jean.Francouis: Acording to the freelancer that just passed you were here about a week ago... LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Indeed. This is where I encountered Coureur de Bois. [C]-CLN-Candide: Monsieur, why do you think we'll let you leave alive with such information in your possession? [C]-Jean.Francouis: And someone by the name of "Mr.Yoshida". LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Take it easy please... [C]-CLN-Candide: Easy? After your threats? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: We were invited here and now you will murder your guests? [C]-CLN-Candide: I may, but the position of a General is not in which I can take the luxury of taking things easy. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: It took me weeks to survey even a portion of this system. But this is no survey ships. I went back to Magellan for refueling and of course I saved my progress. Killing me will not help you hide anything. [C]-CLN-Candide: You were invited by a Caporal. It weights no more than an invitation of a rock. [C]-CLN-Candide: I think this concludes our encounter fast. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: So Herr Amroth is not a man of importance? [C]-CLN-Candide: You delete all your survey data about this system right now or I'll delete you myself. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: So why he invited us here and gave us all the instructions? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Answer me General! [C]-Jean.Francouis: Dont demand him to do things. [C]-CLN-Candide: I don't know, but once I've dealt with you, I'll have a talk with him as well. [C]-Jean.Francouis: You are not in a position to make demands [C]-CLN-Candide: Now, comply or face our projectiles. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: As I said, the small survey that we have conducted until I finally met Council ships, is not here. It is back in Magellan. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: I shall take my leave now. [C]-Jean.Francouis: Well this doesnt help [C]-CLN-Candide: Does that sound like you are unable... or wait, maybe you just do not want to comply? LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: It is more of an inability to comply than anything. [C]-CLN-Candide: That leave us no other choice then.
- The cruiser starts firing mortars to my transport -
LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Mister Yoshida made most of the survey, I came after he had other business to attend to. LH~Domino.Theory: Wolfgang: Are you out of your mind? LH~Domino.Theory: This is not over! LH~Domino.Theory: Got damnit it! 2015-06-09 19:28:00 SMT Traffic control alert: LH~Domino.Theory has requested to dock
In thirty hours I expect to leave this damn place and finally reach Barrier Gate.
