Filing an FR5 rquest takes the player faction at least 30 minutes of annoying time/effort, then he has to wait for weeks and you undo all of this with a 450.000 cr. bribe? Sounds wrong to me.
When it comes to FR5, which may be quite impactful for smuggling activites in its harder form. Hypothetical scenario: what's the point in doing smuggling for circa 3000 creds to the, e.g. Junker base, if I can earn on lawful commodities OR in other place of Sirius way more?
But as I received the note that I cannot be FR5 for smuggling right away, I think there's no sense in that thread anymore. FR5 was explained now that is rather used as a punitive ooRP resort for trolling rather than inRP punishment in 90% of cases. This answered my question entirely, so I can sleep in peace as a smuggler without fear that my RP would be hindered.

You'd likely only be FR5ed by a police faction if you refused to "roleplay along" with them after getting caught (several times). Smuggler-cop interaction is pretty rare and police factions would be very stupid to attempt to immediately FR5 the few smugglers that run around.
