Gameplay mechanism makes "blow them up" the only solution because if Core went to the length to escort a transport to their selling point, people would not sell there. Most would dock. Log off. Wait for a quiet time. Sell at Freeport.
Therefore, the only option is: blow them up, and either ignore the loot or get a transport to sell the loot. Realistically, it will be the first option in most cases - which is fine by the way.
What I am a little worried about is that this creates a situation in which Core can only perceived as a monstrosity. I know that Lyth always wanted Core to not be a white knight defending humanity, and that he loves the shady, dark, evil side of Core.... but: blowing up relief transport en masse does not paint you as "shady, dark, subtly evil", but as a monster.

It's pretty much a bait to get Core decide between cash or reputation.
I could imagine allowing piracy for Core to this specific DROP commodity only and as long as the event lasts being an alternative to just bluing the transports.
In the sidebar we see the freeport amount of DROP received, is there a way to see the amount of drop that Core received and/or the amount lost to space?
