The armored transport flew through space, out towards the coordinates provided in this delivery. After several hours it reached the coordinates, somewhere in New York. "Strange," Thought the pilot, "There doesn't seem to be anyone here..." Nevertheless, he followed the mission instructions and ejected the cargo, 200 new I-1 defensive units.
Seconds later, the ships proximity alarms started blaring and space started to distort in front of him. The pilot gasped as a Liberty Atlantis-class Carrier came into being directly in front of his transport. "What the hell-" thought the pilot, but his thought was cut off by the glare of the ship opening fire, breaching the ships reactor, killing the pilot instantly. The Carrier tractored in the robots, then re-cloaked, leaving only a cloud of expanding debris behind.........

Chayana Driam sat in the command chair on the LNS Sacramento. It was the night shift, and the bridge stations were all manned by Ensigns right off of 'Point. It was an average night shift, meaning nothing at all was happening. Suddenly the communications officer interrupted her thoughts.
"Commander, we have a fighter off our bow, It's hailing us." said Ensign......Rodgers? Driam sighed, "Put it through Ensign." A voice crackled through the speakers. "This is Sub-Lieutenant Galen Anderson, are your systems running fine Sacramento?" Driam was about to respond, when the bridge lights flickered, stations shutting down then re-activating, with confused ensigns trying to figure out what was going on.
"Bridge to Engine room, Quinn, what the hell's going on down there?" Quinn Calhoun's voice came through the speakers, accompanied by bursts of static. "It seems we have a *static* virus in the computer core, its locking us out from all *static* systems, we can't shut down the *static* computer!" Suddenly Lieutenant Parker yelled from the tactical station, "Commander, we're loosing control of all systems, weapons, shields, propulsion, it's all being locked out!" Lieutenant Anderson came back over the comms, "Sacramento, are you having problems?"
Suddenly an idea hit her like a runaway starflyer. Driam yelled back through the comms, "Fire an EMP warhead Lieutenant, our systems are being locked out!" "Copy that, firing EMP warhead." on the screen Driam saw the Avenger fire the sparking blue torpedo, before all systems on the gunboat overloaded and shut down. The emergency lights came on, and she turned the comms back on, on emergency power. "We're running on emergency backup power, we need a tow to Baltimore shipyard." "Copy that, launching tow cable." As the fighter slowly towed the ship to drydock, the Captain ran in, "Chayana, what the hell's going on?"
Commander John Sheppard watched the Sacramento through the Phoenix's forward window, waiting for the explosion that would show that the virus was working right. The Carrier Phoenix was cloaked in space, having just infected the Sacramento with the computer virus that had gone "missing" along with this ship, 3 months ago. Instead he saw the fighter next to it fire an EMP torpedo, shutting down the gunboat's systems before the virus could get complete control.
With a disappointed look on his face, he yelled at the R&D scientist on the bridge. "Modify the virus to protect against EMP pulses. You don't want me to tell the Admiral about this failure do you?" With more than a slight undercurrent of fear, the scientist responded, "Right away Commander!" then ran off the bridge. He then turned to the Sub-lieutenant manning a station, "Start the modifications on the I-1's. They are to be completed within forty-eight hours." "Yes sir!" yelled the Lieutenant, who then saluted and ran off the bridge.
The virus would have to be protected against all means of removing it. "Take us back to R6-D94. We will arrive in one hour."
"Copy that sir." said the crewman at the helm. He better get us there in one hour, thought Sheppard, the Admiral is impatient for the final treachery of the Northern Command to start. Or rather, the Admiral's, as the rest of the NC command staff was either dead or in a cell on Fairbanks.
