Hello, my question is, how do i RP as a nomad? Like i have emotions covered, but how does it all work... and how would other Nomad players understand me?
INDEPENDENT GOODS DELIVERY SERVICE
If you need anything delivered in-game. Whether it be from person to person or from person to station, i'm your man
In-game prices are Profit / 3, if you get 1,000,000 credits profit, i get 250,000 credits out of your profit
Give the goods to me, I will carry the goods to the destination, sell the goods, you will get the sale price of the goods with my payment subtracted
if you do not feel comfortable with this process, you may have a friend or someone you know well enough to accompany me to the destination
There are various ways to RP a nomad, there for one is the "edgy" nomspeak, let me give you an example how this COULD look like:
*** ... ~ours~ 'speak/communicate' -with- ~yours {joy} ... *** Now if you need to know exactly, ask Huggie Sunrise for help, he knows everything about noms. Generally, nomads don't talk, they link their mind with yours and talk through telepathy, that's why those 3 stars are there. Or you make it easy and just talk about the actions and thoughts of your nomad. "This one thinks you are unworthy and shall eradicate you." Something like that, it's late, okay? No time for long answers but I couldn't see you with no replies.
Scourge wrote this very easy nomad tutorial for K'haran nomads. Alternatively, just use descriptive sentences that show what the nomad does instead of using communication.
I RP my nomad in the 2nd way Shelco mentioned. I'm not a big fan of the *** ... ~ours~ 'speak/communicate' -with- ~yours {joy} ... *** thing, it looks like unnecessary gibberish. The amount of punctuation is absurd.
Also remember that nomads can only talk to living beings - beings with a brain and a mind. Thus nomads and AI can't communicate with each other, although they can notice each others presence. Nomads can't receive audio/text messages though.
Are two examples of how you don't roleplay a nomad. Here's an example of how one of the official factions of the nomads roleplay.
The other, which Sombra posted about, might take more time to get used to and type in-game. It's a good thing to remember that you never actually vocalize your thoughts like simpleton humans do, and you have the control of visions and emotions, which you should direct to your opponent in a good amount of intensity before you should blow them up like the usual.
Well, we play a different and limited kind of Nomads. While we intended the Vagrant speech to be different from the K'hara speech, as the Vagrants had a different way of development in the Abyss than the K'hara in Sirius, we actually wanted to have this contrast, and not everyone adapting our Nomspeech. So you're better with what I said: K'hara Nomspeech or Descriptive. Please do yourself a favor and not adapt the Vagrant speech unless you're a Vagrant.
