Confirmed kills: 2 Traits: Shimazu offspring. Talented commander. Intelligent. Naive. Idealist. Too trusting. Local heroine. Background: Fumiko Shimazu has been born on Planet Tokyo in 789 A.S. Completely unaware of her Shimazu origin she grew up on Planet New Tokyo taking interest in politics and culture. With the start of her journalism studies in New Tokyo university in 809 A.S. Fumiko ended up right in the middle of Golden Chrysanthemums recruitment centre. Universities are a popular place for new ideas to merge from and many young, politically active women have been recruited to Golden Chrysanthemum cause this way. Fumiko wasnt so quick to jump into the train unsure about organisation's terrorist status. However, Fumiko was fascinated by the ideas that the women right movement presented.
Fumiko lost her job in a newscast in early 814 A.S. at the start of Kusari-Bretonia war. Journalists weren't an appreciated group with war on Shogunate's hands - espiacally the ones who refuse to report what their told to.
With the loss of her job and career Fumiko had little choice left. She did not want to settle down as a housewife for a Kusarian man and loose her independence as a woman as many her female co-workers did during the war. Fumiko chose to contact her classmate from journalist studies back on New Tokyo who had dropped out the University and joined Golden Chrysanthemums in 810 A.S instead. Fumiko Shimazu has previously received propositions from said individual to join her during her university days. She refused then, but now things were different. The two girls met on Ropponogi Station and a shuttle soon arrived to pick Fumiko up to take her to Ainu Depot.
Fumiko Shimazu stepped on Ainu Depot for the very first time in spring of 814 A.S. during Sakura Festival. She became a Golden Chrysanthemum from that day on.
Though previously having no combat experience Fumiko Shimazu was a natural fighter able to figure out in cockpit very quickly. She does not know that her fighting proficiency is the cause of her bloodline up to this day. Fumiko soon learned to fly a fighter craft and made a significant progress in her new home since then. Spending 3 years in Hokkaido system on Ainu Depot taught Fumiko many things.
In 817 A.S. Fumiko Shimazu packed up her bags. She headed out on an expeditionary mission to Shikoku system by her own will. Shikoku system had no supply depots present and was generally avoided by Golden Chrysanthemum forces for every, but the shortest of strikes against the trade lanes present there. Fumiko Shimazu set out to prove that longer stays were possible. She spent 7 days sleeping on her ship, living on resources that she passing commercial traffic would provide.
Fumiko returned home as a heroine. After recovery in Tau 65 system on Chanai Biodome Project she has been honoured by an elder. A promotion followed soon after. She was now a full flegded Chusa within the organisation.
Fumiko Shimazu became a very much appreciated woman among her sisters in Hokkaido. The elders, feeling greatful for what she did, provided an assignment for Fumiko far away from the preying eyes of danger. In desire to protect Fumiko - now a popular idol in public - an elder assigned her to Furyoku Station in Okinawa system to mediate between Interspace Commerce and Golden Chrysanthemums stationed there. It was otherwise a wanted position and a prestigous one at that. Safe and relatively luxurious comparing to Ainu Depot and Saiun Cloud in Shikoku, Furyoku Station granted all the luxury one could ever need.
However, Fumiko Shimazu felt lonely far away from her sisters in Hokkaido. The job on Furyoku appeared to be dull and lonely. Fumiko would spend days on Furyoku managing resources and assigning tasks her comrades on the other side of Okinawa. Her ship would be locked down in the dock for weeks. A small Cardamine operation run on board would help Fumiko to swing time away. Fumiko had all the authority to manage Chrysanthemums goods on board. To her demise she started to develop an increasing drug problem.
