Austin threw the phone towards the wall causing it to break, there was a sudden explosion outside, which made him turn towards the nearby glass as it shattered from the shockwave of the explosion. "Hell.." He grumbled ducking down into nearby cover. There was another explosion, and people screaming.
Shortly after, everything fell quiet. Austin stood up from his cover and slowly moved towards the door, opening it and stepping outside. Staring down the way he saw a people running, and firing laser weapons. He cursed to himself as he glanced around for something to use, finding only a wooden spear. "I really hate this place."
He quickly jogged over to the wooden spear and picked it up before slipping behind a nearby building as the looters started towards his area. He gripped the spear tightly in both of his hands and leaned against the wall taking in a deep breath. He heard rough hispanic accents, he heard a woman scream, from directly behind him in the woodshack building. "Damn it." He whispered clutching the spear tightly.
He heard sounds of struggling, then a weapon being fired off, and a thump on the floor. Next he heard a shuffling sound lone foot steps exiting the building and carelessly walking towards the back of the building, towards him.
He stayed quiet looking towards his left as a Corsair male walked past him. The corsair was carrying a crude laser weapon, possibly an Old Military design.
"Hey, Amigo." Austin said smiling as he leveled the spear, the Corsair turned around quickly, a bit to quickly. Austin jabbed the pointed end into the Corsairs stomach and pushed. "Names Austin Goodmen." A smile crept across his face. "I'm an Armed Forces Officer, who just killed you with a stick." His smile disappeared as he twisted the spear and pulled it out quickly. The Corsair dropped firing off a round, which hit the building behind Austin causing a small fire, which quickly grew.
Austin tossed the spear aside and knelt down picking up the rifle and shouldering it. However the moment he stood up and turned around he was hit by three laser shots. His vision faded as he faced the person that shot him, he could make out the features of a female before his vision went black completely, collasping to the ground...
It was a rather cool day on Leeds. Four men, lined up in a single file line held Assault Rifles, wearing Military Police uniforms. Standing, tied to a pole not to far was Ensign Gregory Edwards, a pilot that flew with Austin for a short time.
"You have been tried and found guilty on the following accounts, Munity, Murder, Theft of Military Ships and Hardware, Communicating with the enemy and furnishing supplies to both the Corsairs and Kusari." The man paused. "Any last words?"
Gregory stayed quiet. Though he was staring directly at Austin, who was wearing his Armed Forces uniform.
"No last words?" The man said looking over at the firing squad. "Ensign Edwards, as you've been found guilty of betraying Her Majesty, and your fellow pilots. You shall be put to death by firing squad. Ready."
The firing squad cocked their rifles.
"Aim."
They raised their rifles to their shoulders and took aim.
The man calling the action walked over holding a piece of chulk and drew an 'X' on Gregory's uniform, backing out of the way. Once he was clear he stood at attention, looking at the firing squad.
"Fire." He said, a loud burst of rounds shot out, the bullets rippled through the air striking Gregory in the 'X' killing him.
"Waste of a Uniform." Austin said as the Ensign doubled over, his lifeless body hanging by the bounds that were tied to his wrists. "To think. He actually seemed to have sense." Austin started to laugh as he turned around and walked off to his awaiting car. "Thinking MI5 wouldn't catch him." His laughter died off as he carried his smirk into the car. "Never liked him anyways, so bloody annoying."
