Halpert Kennedy, Starfliers To: People or admins or whatever of Quantum Outpost Subject: Thanks for having me dock
Suppose my little run through Texas and Kansas left my ship a little beaten up. Was on fire before I saw your base, lucky for me your little installation had a few nanobots for me to use.
So, you do realize this place is dangerous, what are you people doing all the way out in this dead end system?
You are definitely a lucky guy. This is the only installation in Kansas with docking capabilities. I am glad that you have found us at the right time, and you do not have to thank us at all, since we were going to accept your docking request anyway especially when your ship showed on our scanners damaged and on fire. Welcome to the Quantum outpost. My name is David Xircone, and I am the director of security for this installation. This is a recently established freelancer research and development facility that belongs to the Xircone family. Adminstered by Rebecca Xircone, studying and analyzing the atmosphere of planet Topeka, Its surrounding asteroids, planetoids, and more.
If I may ask, Who are you? and what is that logo on your ship? Starfliers? .... What happened so your ship becomes damaged and on fire like that? ... Forgive me for asking several questions, This part of the world is dangerous and we are aware that we might face some serious situations here. Do not mind the security procedures and the security guards around. They are only doing their job..... So, I am listening!
Halpert Kennedy, Starfliers To: David Xircone, Quantum Outpost Subject: About us...
Yes, well, I just got this ship. Flew it through a radiation field and looks like the field got a little more radioactive. Burned my hull a little faster than normal. Bloody Renzu. Anyways...
Uhhh... my name is Halpert Kennedy. I'm an explorer, for the Starfliers. We're a little rinky dinky research group. I know a little bit about this system and just wanna say - watch out. Instead of spending your time out here, maybe our leader would like to have a chat with you. If you can find us in the Inverness System.
I see, so it's radiation that did all the damage we see here to your ship. Well, I am glad that the nanobots did help. We are glad to meet one of the Starfliers. We actually heard about the group but I couldn't remember the name. It is nice to meet you, Mr. Kennedy.
If you please, let me ask you something. I just wonder why would your leader want to meet me at the Inverness system? ... I am the security director here and not one of the scientists running this outpost. I can connect you with Dr. Xircone, the Quantum administrator and lead developer.
Halpert Kennedy, Starfliers To: David Xircone, Quantum Outpost Subject: The meet
Radiation, mines, debris. Funny thing when you get into those areas, they hurt. Connect me with whoever, the rest of the team I work with are scared of certain alien thingies and they aren't gonna come your way. Better to come to us.
My name is Rebecca Xircone, and you can call me Dr. Xircone. I am the current administrator of the Quantum outpost at the Kansas system. I have received a note from David Xircone, the security director, and my cousin about a requested meeting with your leader. Well, I would like to ask what exactly he or she wants from that meeting. Any particular reason?... Forgive me, we don't even know each other.
Leon Vicci, Starfliers To: Rebecca Xircone, Quantum Outpost Subject: Nice to meet you
Good day there, Rebecca. My name is Leon Vicci, leader of the Starfliers.
My team strongly supports any scientific endeavors, especially since we have been on our own developing our own processes and experiencing new discoveries for a good six years or so now. I have flown through Kansas in the past, found that the system is open, dangerous and not populated whatsoever - at least from what I remember of it.
I apologize for Halpert, he means well, though what he's asking your teams to do isn't far from what I'm asking. I'd very much like you to meet on board our own station within Inverness to talk about what your team does. If ideas or goals align, perhaps my own research lead Albert can work with you to discover even more.
Oh, and you won't have to worry about us opening fire or causing some trouble. I understand you know nothing about us, all the more reason to know like-minded research groups. Just a friendly invitation.
Well it is good to know that we have that in common. We also built ourselves from our experiences with science and working for other corporations before joining efforts at building the Quantum Outpost. We do work in several fields, especially Quantum and Astronomy Physics. We also have a group of chemists and biologists for our pharmaceutical research.
A department of our research facility works on exploring the undiscovered gaseous atmosphere of planet Topeka. We have a shred of strong evidence that we can extract some rare gases and materials from that planet that can be useful for humanity and science.
It would be my pleasure to meet your scientist, Mr. Albert, and you in person at the Inverness system. I am currently sunk in many arrangements and work here onboard the Quantum Laboratories so give me a few days and I shall travel to the Inverness system and meet you there.
I will call you again once I am ready to confirm the meeting. As for Mr Halpert, It is okay and we are not concerned about him. Thank you for your offer and I will be communicating with you again soon.
