When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and your discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
Countless seconds, minutes, hours, days and months had passed since the day Seth was proclaimed dead. In the last minutes of Seth, Crystal and Aethelu were next to him, helping him in anyway possible, till they succumbed to the will of a Greater Force. Having left the base, they did not see what truly happened. Seth had never died- He had simply become something else. Faster, stronger, better. Connected to his brethren, but most importantly, happy and peaceful. He was now part of the Mindshare.
He was not one of them, the Purebred, nor was he one of the Infested. No, He was something entirely different- A Hybrid. At home, he was free to wander in his true form, and he never felt more at home as now. Seth had died, arising as Sekhmet instead. But for an unknown reason, somewhere deep down, Sekhmet had the urge to leave his home. Something within him was reluctant to stay home with his family, something that gave him flashes of a different life. A life full of darkness, evils, corruption. At the end of that tunnel of darkness was a light. A halo. A silhouette of a human, beckoning him toward the light.
The flashes were brief, they were short, and faint enough to have no adverse affect on Sekhmet, but they were still there, almost as if something else was alive within Sekhmet, trying to get out, to reach out to its destiny
Within the mindshare, all thoughts, emotions, feelings, actions are shared. The happiness of one is shared amongst the rest to increase the happiness, the pain of one is spread amongst many to reduce it. Everyone needs each other to survive, and if any is misfortunate enough to be cut off from the mindshare, they starve without the emotional connection to their family.
Days passed, and the feeling grew. Drifting in the atmosphere of Dur-Shurrikun, Sekhmet looked down at everyone scurrying around like bees, working in keeping their home maintained, when he was hit by another vision. Complete darkness, nothing to be seen. Whispers rising all round him, surrounding him from every angle, trapping him in the centre, when all of a sudden, one whisper rose in volume above the others, became distinct and clear. It was a rather familiar voice, female, human… almost similar to someone Sekhmet thought he knew…Crystal…
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny”
Those words echoed loudly, almost as if someone was shouting them into his mind with a loudspeaker, reverberating as it went along. It took Sekhmet a while, but he finally realised he was falling toward Dur-Shurrikun’s ground dangerously fast. He was mere feet away before he gained control and stopped himself become one with the ground.
