Meh datastorm is an unattractive cheap piece of software but it is a necessary evil. Double so for anyone trying to mod something. I do not know how many times I have had to reference it just to get a base code because I forgot what it was.
And.. What exactly is the difference between Datastorm and FLstat?

I find the attitude of many towards people who ask for information extremely rude and unhelpful. It is sending the message to newbies (though, Robert is not a newbie in this case, merely a veteran seeking codenames) that it is a crime to ask a question, and that they should feel dirty for wanting to ask.
On topic, I'm not an expert on codenames, but by the name of it, EXCALIBUR is likely a Bretonian wreck.
Hmm.. kinda odd. You'd think they and Kusari would have a lot of secret projects going on during the war (a subject of the 1st chapter of my upcoming story, as it may).
Datastorm also gives you a graphical layout of each system, including locations of bases & wrecks. It's interface is really really kludgy. FLstat is much better, but it only gives you raw figures for everything and no object locations.
Not that I would know!
Preatyre makes a good point. Sometimes we do ram the "IT'S CALLED DISCOVERY FOR A REASON N00B!!!" down their throats a bit much. But then again, get a bit jaded after questions like, "where is i find best bs and weps 2 uze and howz much it cost????????"
@Virus: Nah mate..... we didn't hate you back then any more than we do now! (ah j/k:tease::ylove:
Good then, I'm using FLstat, there are no locations or maps in it, and i prefer it that way.
I only use it to set up new characters more easily.
To see where can i buy needed stuff, actually, to remind myself.
It's hard to keep it all in ya'r head.

The closest CODE we have to DEFILER would have to be the pair of DELUSIONs that we sold to you...
