I recently decided to run the game to have a look at my characters. And met with a disaster. Horrid graphical attributes because of some reason I'm unable to find.
Screenshots were taken by Fraps, I'm running on a Win 7 Ultimate, my graphics card is a Sapphire ATI HD 4870 with 1GB memory and I just installed the DirectX 11 in a futile hope of recording an improvement. But the disaster persists. I also have the ENB mod on.
Is there anyone who run it on Win 7 without a problem? The basic issue I'm having is that the colors aren't displaying correctly, nothing else. Should I tweak the coloring temperature or something different? Couldn't find a color palette for Freelancer settings either. I also wonder if my game installation and/or the mod file are/is corrupt or not.
On the other hand, any other game manages to display the colors and graphics just fine so it makes me question whether it is about my video card controls.
I did install it to My Documents, run as an admin in XP compatability mode.

Well, I can see XP service pack 2 & 3 compatibility modes when I browse that list. I tried both and nothing changed, I also tried to disable the ENB after deactivating the Discovery mod but nothing improved apart from the ENB being disabled. I guess I'll try to make a re-installation of everything. But I have a bad feeling about this.

*Raises hand*
It might be several things; no way of knowing, really.
You got this problem in any other games, applications, whatever, or just in Freelancer?
You tried messing with preferences? (Right click wallpaper > "adjust to personal preferences" (>Screen) ). Playing around with that *might* help ya find something.
So, this never happened before you had Win 7, right?
althought my Video card is Nvidia and i needed to find a good driver for it. I found out that for my card better is an old driver of Vista.
Try to install a recent driver from ATI site, compatible with W7. You don`t need to install FL with administrator but the FLMM is need to be running with administrator rights when you install the disco mod.
Do you have any anti-aliasing settings tweaked in Catalyst, or anything else of a similar nature? Sometimes editing those settings rather than using app defaults can result in some interesting graphical bugs.
It seems Sungi was right. I was bloody obsessed with the issue such that I made myself believe something which never existed. I updated my card's driver yesterday, and my thanks should go to Grail for it as the link he provided came in very handy. While I may be obsessed, I still think that the driver update improved things a bit or.. I just realized my obsession.
Anyway, below are some recent screenshots I captured from the game today. Graphics looked rather neat to me this time.

I have been trying to figure out the details of the Catalyst settings. For now, I haven't touched anything about anti-aliasing but what you have said may be true. I just revised the settings in order to gain maximum graphical quality instead of better performance to see how it handles. That seems to be working properly at this moment.
