IMG and corsairs tend to work together in some ways...some RP exploration will tell u that...so albatross with corsair tag shouldn't be too strange...and IMG ships are anyway mostly sold to "shady" characters...IMG them selves walk on very thin line between law and crime...

So i would have to drop my Corsair id to be able to fly it?
The Corsairs are one of the biggest pirate factions (close to house bigness just like the Outcasts) and the only cap ship we have is a Gunboat, if we had allies like the Outcast do it wouldn't be a problem but for us it is.
This is just of the top of my head these ships are open to anyone aligned with a outcast alliance faction.
Outcasts Alliance caps
Outcast Dread
Outcast Cruiser
Blood dragon Gunbout
Talarca cruiser (Blood dragon)
Hacker spyglass
Rogue Gunbout
Red Hessian cruiser
Rhindland Pirate Cruiser
Corsair Alliance Caps
Corsair Gunboat
Osiris - but we don't want everyone flying them
So we really have 1, the Gunboat.
I mean how would the Bounty hunters get all there battleships, battlecruiser, gunboats when i massive faction like the Corsairs can only manage one gunboat?
This is nowhere near a dig at the mod, i love this place but i just think it is a balance issue, and when you add that 80% player faction are in that Outcast alliance then it dosnt look good for us.
So how to fix this? well the Corsairs should get a viable cruiser to match the outcast destroyer and the Order should get a Gunboat of there own.
Or at least let us RP us getting a couple of albatrosses from IMG which are allied to us.
EDIT: Doom Posted the same time as me and thats the way i see it, at least until we have ships of our own.
I agree. There dose need to be more Corsair Capships. Although there will hopefuly be a new Corsair Dread out befor the final releace. so there is another one to add to our minor colection.

At risk of angering the corsair fans I have to point out that the corsairs cant really manage capships. They are depended upon what they can steal to survive. The materials to build large cap ships would be immense. I don't think the corsairs have the resources to pull it off. Heck if you dig deep enough in rumors it is said that the Titan was originally developed by Kishiro engineers. That means it was once a civilian ship. Or intended to be. The design was likely stolen.
The outcasts have the diverse fleet because they have the money and the pull. They are more of a Mafia than pirates.
Outcasts survive through manipulation. The corsairs survive by theft.

theft? so i can steal any of ship and fly with them. only that i mean is that corsairs need stronger ship as huntress. and noone will have gamma full of osiris ships.
the bounty hunter battlecruiser is good idea, but only when corsairs have ship class again battlecruiser.
With all due respect NEXUS, planet Crete is abundant in natural resources such as metals for ship construction. It has scarce arable land for food though. A rumour on Crete says that they have plenty of building materials, and for the Outcasts its the opposite, i think. They have plenty of arable land, the majority of it used for growing Cardimine, while they lack natural resources to build larger ships. I really think the Corsairs need more ships, especially as they are the kind of heavy guys. The Titan is second only in armour to the Templar as far as i know, and this means that all Corsair ships should be big, with big guns and big armour, and rubbish maneuverability. The gunboat achieves this well. 8 gun slots, a massive target (comparatively) and high end armour, with sub-par maneuverability compared to some other gunboats.
The Huntress would be better if it were more versatile and not so hard to handle in rocks. Not to mention that it has two backward firing guns, which i hear is fixed in the Beta. Right now (in 4.83) I can beat a huntress on my own in a Titan. Its a pretty galling fact, seeing as in my eight gun BH destroyer i can take on two RTalons and win...
And the Osiris bucks the trend in Corsair ship design too. Low armour, high maneuverability and lower amounts of gun turrets. I'm not saying I don't like the Osiris, I am saying that it doesn't fit with my idea of how the Corsairs do business...or ship design rather.
Ok I will concede to those points. But how are the corsairs proposing to mine said resources? As I said, big capships need allot of material. Corsairs will need allot of mining machinery to get crete's resources out. The corsairs simply don't have the manpower to fight their current wars, mine resources and build massive cap ships. If I recall correctly they have relatively low life expectancies. They may want someone else to do it for them. Like IMG.
As for the proposed take over of rhiendland, it is what you might call a long term goal.
