I've heard people talking about switching to a trader char to make money . . . that would seem to imply that you can somehow transfer money from one of your characters to another. I'm keeping my trader regardless, but would still like to know if such a thing is possible, and - at least as important - if it's considered acceptable.
Of course. You can have more then one character on this server. One can be a trader and the other can be a fighter. To transfer money you just need to ask someone to hold the money for you while you switch characters.
If you ever see one of the Angels online, just ask. We'll help.:)
Unselie, if I do transfer money, I will be sure to come up with a good RP reason to do so - but I don't expect that I'll need or really want to, either. Not anytime soon, at least. Two of my three characters are joining factions, so they'll get a sign-on bonus to buy and equip their ships; and the other one can make his own money. =P Mostly, this question was out of curiosity. Again, thank you for the answers!

Sometimes it's just fine to have no RP reason to transfer money. Example: Your character is military or police and needs cash for new equipment... well that equipment would come from the military or police force and no matter how you slice it, your independent trader isn't part of that suppy chain.
i.e. don't worry about money transfers too much, because often it's more RP to have the money magically appear than it is to make up a rather dubious story.
