never touched the stuff myself, dont even drink really only beer on the odd occasion
YES YES A LEGAL SCOTSMAN THAT DONT DRINK, hehe
EDIT: although the odd absynth on a suger cube is good for the heart hehe
Another Edit: speaking of which wouldnt it be possible to make a absinthe commodity (im sorry i really cannot remember how to spell the name right) and make it illegal in liberty and legal in britonia kind of like modern day's
might be a good smuggling product for liberty area's
' Wrote:me and dab talked about that before he posted here he already plans on making em 100 to 200 units a piece heh
Yup. 100 to 50, maybe 25. Everyone please remember that these are pre-made DISMANTLED ships, that would be assembled at their destination, which would allow them to take up considerably less cargo. 50 cargo a piece would let the Adv. Train at 5,000 cargo, only able to carry 100 ships. I'm leaning more to 25 units a piece, making an Adv. Train able to carry 200. I think thats just fine. The profit-per-unit of ships will be MUCH higher than normal commodities, since you have less of them. So a normal commodity that would have a profit of 300 per unit, the ship would have 7,500-8,000 profit per unit, as that would be equal. 8,000 because the ships cost about 12,000 base price, 15,000 at the lowest selling point. So it costs alot to transport, and they are very risky to carry around pirates that might blow you up, along with your 3,000,000 (3mil) in cargo. It also lets them get pretty valuable cargo when your dead. Because of this, and the necessity of the commodity in most place, it would have a bit better profit than most commodities, but the routes for it would be rather long ones (from shipyards to main front-line bases.). They will probably be sold for cheap in Bretonia and Liberty (lower-quality ships sold) and bought/sold for higher prices in Kusari and Omicrons (higher-quality ships sold). The commodity will ONLY be sold on shipyards, and not on other stations or planets. The best selling points would be in hotspots in Sirius, like Palermo in Omicron Eta, where the Outcasts and Corsairs are duking it out. Your likely to run across player pirates in that system to, which increases to the dangerous-ness of transporting this particular cargo. It also has a good RP potential, especially for those who fly Liberty Carriers.

Edit: Wait, how much space do military vehicles take up?
They take normal space, but they are also significantly smaller than ships are.

AoM
Doesn't sound very good to be honest.. And since we already have a weapon with Nova in the name..

If I made this it would probably replace one of the house's alcoholic drinks. Absinthe isn't really illegal, and is medicinal as well, so it would fall under both alcoholic beverage and pharmaceuticals.
nova being the deadliest hull buster around it might ACTUALLY make more sense than you think dab me boy. if the drink is half as powerful as the weapon god help us all
Alright, possible contraband version of all the alcoholic drinks, Nova-Bock. I'll work up a description tomorrow if enough people say they would like it.
Also, Viral Agents. This could either by legal or illegal, I can't decide which. It could be virus samples, samples being taken to make vaccines, etc, but I think that would fall under pharmaceuticals, so I'm leaning towards it being the illegal 'biological weaponry' kind of commodity.
Yes/No on its existance. If yes, legal or illegal?
well over in the uk here each off sales is limited to the ammount of bottle's of it they sell a day, you usually need to get up rather early if its a big drinking night such as friday or saturday. so maybe over a certain ammount in your hold could then make it illegal to ship through systems
EDIT: i like the idea of the virus sample's (illegal) we have many vaccines but no biological weapons of such, could also bring about many rp event's with such a item such as MASS DEFENCE OF "insert name here" TO STOP BIOLOGICAL RAID
ok going a bit to far there but you know what i mean
That could work for player police and military forces, but NPCs can't make a decision based on cargo amount. So either way it would have to be put in either the legal or illegal categories. Legal would allow player militaries to put a cargo limit amount, but they can do that with the 4 alcohols I already thought of. Illegal would simply be that, illegal.
I was wondering, for a comodities while we are at it...
"Nuclear warhead"? XD
would be a fun -and explosive contraband rofl
imagine the police guy scanning a cargo
"Alright, I'm scanning your cargo for - oh my god what are these!!!"
dont think i could see it working because noone in they're right mind would fire upon a ship loaded with a full blown nuke unless they wanted them and every other surrounding person dead in second's.
then again it could be argued that the nuke mines is essentially a nuclear weapon but i wouldnt quite put that on par with a stereotypical nuke
EDIT: now nuclear component's on the other hand might work. such as plutonium etc or just in genral "nuclear device component's"
Another EDIT: on the topic of nuke's and biological weapon's, it would give terrorist factions such as the xenos and gaian's (not so much gaian's due to they're tree hugger way's and the mass devistation on the land that these weapons would place on the area) a nice little role playing scenario to play out
