Thankds for the set up Equinox. Ill try that
But i have a good rep with the other fractions. My RP is to assist anyone in need, escourt trsaders and do oddjobs for those who pay good money.]
but still im a little bit confused with the rule
Heres my RP story
He was born on Planet Califirnia, Califoirnia System. His parents were farmers and he hated it. He saw commercials and ads stating join the Navy and larn new things, meet new people and explore Sirius. He wanted adventure. When he turned 18, he left for West Point Academy to learn how to become a pilot.
At 21 he was accepted and became a LF pilot for the Navy.
On one campaign versus the Rouges near Buffalo base, his job was to escourt Gunboats onto the Badlands so they can knock out Buffalo Base. His tactics werre too brutal and life threatening to him and others. After the campaign and its unsucessfull ending with the rouges having too many fighters in the area and LN had to retreat. He ws reviewed by the LSF and was discarged becasue he was not disiplined in combat and was too brutal in his tactics.
2 months later a man came by wearing a suit ina bar and offered him an oppertunity. Join S.S.C (Securtiy & Strategy Coperation). You work for who you want , make the money you want and fight the way you want. He joined. The man reviewed his profile and accepted him in and gave him an starting bonus enough to buy a fighter. He faught for 10 years and gained enough money in profits and S.S.C funding to buy a liberty Gunboat through a buisnessman at S.S.C who got LI ships through diffrent methods.
To this day, he works for himself, making money, earning respect throughout Sirius with Lawfuls and the unlawfuls and is one of S.S.C's most sucessfull mercenaries.
the way i see it, its mainly the tag that kind of restricts you in a major way. my merc char, has a liberty gunboat, cerbs, and lib turrets (personal choice), a merc id, and NO TAG. by having no tag, im stating that i work for myself, and i dont want to work for a faction. my merc has killed 4 npcs so far, and they were all Das Wilde (annoying lil buggers).
this is good, because from an RP point of view, you can now take on a job from pretty much anyone. the only problem here is reputation.
for example: if you, as a merc get hired by some outcast to kill, lets say brotherhood members, you will end up on the TBH KoS, and maybe even the other corsair allied factions (like the Benitez). ofcourse, to get yourself off the KoS will take a bit of time and work. if you do take missions from the TBH against the outcasts, maybe that will help, and thus show your neutrality.
in your case, since you have a police tag, it will not make sense for someone like you to venture into omicron space, and sit there, waiting for someone to hire you. you roaming House systems for jobs, fine. but even at times, it may be pushing it (in this case, as Liberty and Rhienland are nearly at war, haviing a lib police/navy/LSF tag and flying in RH space isnt the best thing)
also, since you have a police tag, it is recommended to try and avoid any guns that may be deemed OORP (such as outcast, corsair, and especially order turrets etc.) Cerbs are allowed, even if ure a pirate, since they are sold nearly everywhere, and even the description says that they are sold all over sirius.
so, all in all, i think it all depends on what colours your merc is flying (as in, what tag he has). remember, sometime people tend to attack you for flying a lib gb and police tag, without scanning first (*sigh* yes, its happened to me quite a few times, unfortunately, the other guy dies to quick to run away or say stop:P). so its best to try and keep your merc char tagless.
a tip on tags, dont like, get a bret tag and expect to work in kusari, or a corsair tag and work in Alpha. Genarally, house tags are not welcome near pirates, and vise versa. I would recomend getting a Freelancer tag.
BTW, the suggested loadout, 2-3 cerbs and stock weps fits your RP perfectly, and in really effective.

thank you all replying and helping me. I have a police tag dor some reason but i am friends with Crosairs, Xenos, Order and Zoners so i dont see me being enemies with them. I did Crosair missions with a Police tag cause it was versus BHs.
But Bounty Hunterss hate me though for some reason
I wil get the Creb set up today, im heading for Delta now
Right, the Bounty Hunters hate you because you were doing missions against them for the Order and Corsairs by the looks of things..
You really shouldn't have a police tag if you are friendly to Xenos (or the Order, for that matter.). The reason your police rep doesn't go down when working for the Corsairs is because the Corsairs don't operate in Liberty, really.
As others have suggested, I'd work towards getting a Freelancer tag. There's a thread about it somewhere.
by doing lawful stuff - rather factionless lawful stuff - assist zoners, assist BHG ( both are siriuswide lawful factions ) - the later won t affect it that much, but the BHG offers more missions - as opposed to no missions from zoners.
